Also, ya can't go wrong with The Great Outdoors (1988). :winkgrin

I can't believe I forgot about the Star Trek films. Those are some really great movies. Especially, Wrath of Khan. With all due respect to Patrick Stewart, the early years with William Shatner and Leonardy Nimoy were the best!:)

Brat Pack movies rock my world. Sixteen Candles is my favorite of the bunch.

A few others worth mentioning: Ferris Bueler's Day Off, Back to the Future, and Revenge of the Nerds.

Actually my favorite movie of all time came out in the 80s, but unlike the others, it doesn't have the "80s feel" to it because it is just not that kind of movie. Anyways, it's Rainman.

I swear the make-up people did such a great job making Dustin up as a woman that you almost forget it is Dustin. One of my favorite parts is where Dorothy is doing a scene with Nurse Charles, and Nurse Charles is crying about Dr.Brewster, and Dorothy says to her that what she's going to do about Dr. Brewster is to give all the nurses cattle prods and whenever Dr. Brewster tries something, they were supposed to "zap him in the badoobies".

I remember I was so mad when Dustin didn't win the Oscar for that role but it went to Ben Kingsley for Gandhi instead!

I only have 9 to 5 on VHS(I know, what the heck is wrong with me?!), and on the back on the tape cover, it reads that 9 to 5 was originally going to be a drama, but when they went around interviewing female office workers about what they would do to get even with their bosses, alot of the stories were really funny.

One of my favorite parts in this movie is first Doralee telling off Mr.Hart and telling him that she's going to get her gun and change him from a rooster to a hen with one shot, then when the girls are trying to think of a way to blackmail Mr. Hart--

Judy:We'll take a picture of him in bed with a prostitute.
Doralee:Oh, who'll care?
Violet:Yeah, Hart will just buy up the pictures and send them out as Christmas cards!

Oh, and the best line--"Hey, Vera, we got another stiff in the john"!!

OMG...I know. That's why I thought Dustin was sooooo hot as a woman! Mmm! He really can keep a feminine face if he tries. That's what makes him so sexy. :D

My favorite bit in 9 to 5 is when all 3 women are high on pot and they take turns telling each other what they wanted to do to the boss...My FAVE bit was Lily's -- her dressed up as Snow White! I couldn't stop giggling all through the scene!

*tee hee* Now I want to go watch 9 to 5 again

Ok, probably one last thing about Tootsie, and talking about certain parts, IMO, a bit sad & heartbreaking--when Julie tells Dorothy, "I really love you, Dorothy, but I can't...I can't love you."

And I'm sure you noticed that both movies had Dabney Coleman in them, and he plays a jerk in both!!

I just watched a movie the other day called Moonlight Mile with Jake Gullenhall(sp?), Dustin, & Susan Sarandon, and guess who was also in the movie? Dabney!!

My favorite 80's movies are anything with John Cusack in them. I still like his new movies as well. But Say Anything was i think one of the best movies of all time. And it seems like not many people have heard of it or seen it. I recromend it to all my friends and they have seemed to like it. I think fans of his also like this movie. It is just one of the best love stories and best romantic movies i think i've ever seen. It is directed by Cameron Crowe and came out in 1989 next time your at the video store rent the DVD or video i'm sure you'll like it. Or if it comes on T.V. watch it i think you will like it very much.

Hey! Far too many movies from the 80’s to cite. Here’s a link to some that we may have forgotten to give an honourable mention to.

I cannot believe is that there’s no 80’s movie starring ‘John Cusack & Molly Ringwald’.:)
