I've been searching for a couple of months now for an internship over the summer (something either in medicine or journalism, that would be okay with me going to summer school until noon) on a couple of internship sites. I can't seem to find anything I like. The ones I do like are hours away or in East LA...and I'm sure my mom wouldn't be too dandy with me commuting there. Does anyone know of any sites I can look at?

does your school, have like a community class room office, where tells you about all the programs and volunteering avaible? cuz we do at our HS and I dont know if its just my town, and we have this program called TEC and its for surrounding towns that offers courses, finds internships, and has college fairs...thats how I found my internship last summer (in phsyical therapy) and this summer (in marketing) so I dont know what its like in your town, but there oculd be a similar program that sets up internships and you pay a set fee

Talk to a councelor/advisor. They should be able to tell you some good places to look.
