That's ridiculous. If students work hard enough to make the honor roll, they should be commended. What's next? No more Dean's Lists in colleges? Things such as an honor roll are just a taste of the competiveness of the job market IMO.

That is stupid. Nobody should object to an honor roll list. Of course the parents of the poor performing students are going to object. The real world is nothing but competition and being your best, but our schools are contantly trying to undermine the spirit of competition. How are the kids going to function in the real world?
