In many episodes, it is apparent that Beaver, Wally, and June have blue eyes. What color are Ward's?

What is your eye color? Mine is a light-medium brown, like my mom's. My dad's eyes are so dark that it is hard to tell the pupil from iris. My brother inherited my dad's eyes.

I think Ward's eyes were brown or hazel. :rolleyes:

I have my mom's beautiful blue eyes!!! :)

According to the pics everywhere, all 4 of the cleavers have blue eyes. I think ward would look better with brown if you ask me :D but ward is hot in any way ;) And i have dark brown eyes

Sorry if I am asking too much, but about what shades of blue does each one have?

I could tell that Wally has blue eyes. I never paid much attention to the others. I have green eyes.

This is great. My aunt has a nice shade of green. It is like a teal, aqua color.

Comparing blue eyes, Beaver's are light blue, Wally's are bright blue, and Eddie's are dark blue. Comparatively.:D

Kids-wise, Beaver's older son has hazel, and his younger son has brown. Wally's daughter has hazel and his son has blue (but they were brown when he was played by a baby). Eddie's sons both have blue. If I'm remembering correctly.:D

June's eyes looked a darker blue, more like Wally's. Ward's looked lighter, like Beaver's. Another reason I feel Ward looks more like Beaver.

This situation always puzzles me too. I always thought that Wally had a lighter, brighter blue and Beaver and June's eyes were a darker blue. I could never tell Ward's eye color. At first I thought they were brown but now I think they are blue, like Beaver's and June's shade. Now as for my color, I have a like teal-blue green eye color. My Dad has blue-gray eyes, and my Mom has brown almost black eyes. My brother and I almost have the same eye color except he has more greenish-brown in his eyes, and I have more blue. LOL.

Well, this is an interesting subject! I had never really thought about the Cleaver family's eye colors!

Hmmm.... I just studied a little bit of genetics, so let me see if I can remember how this goes - Brown eyes are dominant, blue eyes are recessive. If a brown eyed parent and a blue eyed parent have a child, chances are only 1 in 4 (I think) that the child will have blue eyes. In order for the child to have blue eyes, he/she has to inherit a blue gene from both parents. (Is that the way it goes - maybe someone else out there knows more than me!:lol: )

So, applying this to the Cleavers - If June has blue eyes and Ward has brown eyes, technically, the odds are that only one of the boys would have blue eyes. However, If Ward had blue eyes, then both boys would probably have blue eyes, too - unless each boy inherited recessive green eye genes from both parents?? (I think green is recessive, anyway! - Don't know for sure!)

As for me - I have green eyes (cat eyes, I call them.)

I can't remember correctly, but I think blue eyes are the only recessive genes. I think green are dominant. If someone gets a green eyes gene and a blue eyes gene, they'll have green eyes. Although I'm not sure what happens if they get brown and green, for example. Maybe it gets to be an in-between shade? Then there's always cross-over and recombination and all that fun stuff. :crazy:

Funny, I thought Ward's eyes looked brown in last night's episode.
