original run who would not be interested in watching those shows on DVD? My mom watched shows like the

Jeffersons
Good Times
Rhoda
Mary Tyler Moore
Alice

During their original run in the 1970's and she has no interest in buying the DVD because she said she watched those shows every week during it's original run. Saying that it's nothing she hasn't seen before

I think it would depend on how much a person likes a particular show, and also on how often it runs in syndication. I watched all of the shows you've listed when they were first on (yes, I am ancient), but the only one I've bought on DVD, or would want to, is The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I loved it when it was first on and it doesn't seem to be on Nick at Nite or TV Land anymore, and I miss it. I bought the first season and was sad to find that there are no immediate plans to release the other six. If the other seasons ever do become available, I'm sure I'll want to own them.

Guess it also depends on how much a person is into TV.

Exactly.
Some people (us) see TV as a "hobby"
Others dont.

I have and/or plan on buying all of those with the exception of "Good Times"

I'm just starting to get into Rhoda. So far Rhoda Mother STANDS OUT as one of funny characters on the show.

I like her too.
I just got "MTM-Season 1" on DVD.... and the last episode I watched was the first appearance of Ida.

But personally, I think Brenda is the best character on Rhoda.
I hope it comes to DVD.

Oh yes, Nancy Walker is incredible in that role! Ida is one of my favorite characters, both on TMTMS and "Rhoda." Solomon, just out of curiousity, how are you able to watch "Rhoda" when it's not in syndication?

I think maybe you saw an arm, like, once, but that's it. You definitely didn't see his face.
