started with the bloopers,then joyce's look back at the work of john.

listerned to some of the audio commentary.

there's lots of scenes from 'up in the air' for those who have never seen it in the 'eight years of laughter' feature.

'jack looks for a job' is uncut and has the scene of him walking in on the model which i hear is never shown.

i love the b&w picture of the ropers dancing on the back of the box.

will be watching the episodes this evening and all the extras again.

i could go on and on its just so good. :wave:

I love being able to watch the episodes, but has anyone notice how many, er, errors are on them? I'm pretty sure it's just not the DVD's, because with season one there were also a few scenes that kinda skipped. On the episode "Stanley Casanova" in one of the scenes where the commercial break would be, it doesn't come back. I had to use my DVD player to fast forward past that because it stayed black. I'm only up to the second disc and there's already been a lot of errors, to the people who have the season two set currently... have you noticed these errors? Or should I take it back for a new one?

And on the first disc, using the play all option, during one of the episodes it went back to the main menu so I had to go to "episodes" and just play the rest having to select them.

there's 12 minutes of bloopers most are of suzanne somers,the last blooper is my fav.
it starts with them being introduced to the audience before filming which is good.

joyce does a very moving tribute to john, on his life and work, i've watched it twice have hankies ready.

the 8 years of laughter goes from 'man about the house' to 'grandma jack' with all johns funniest bits.

the ropers best bits are so funny.

i will let you all find the answers to the quiz yourself and you get a nice reward for answering them all.

and tag scenes are included and longer opening credits.:)

My DVD shipped yesterday so with it taking an average of 10-20 days to Germany you can do your math to find out when I'll be the proud owner of the set..Can't wait the watch the eps and the bloopers, the tribute etc...

Your so lucky. I went to 2 FYE's here and neither one of them had it yet. A friend of mine lives in Minnesota and said that they bought it at Best Buy already and so I checked all the Best Buys here and nope, didn't have it.:(

The ads for Best Buy in this Sunday's paper list the new releases for the coming week. It has the TC Season 2 DVD for $24.99. I was at Best Buy Friday, but no Season 2s were available. Darn!!! Guess I'll have to wait until Tuesday.

I just brought Three's Company Season 2 but I haven't opened it though, I left it in the car and my Mother took my car, haha. I hope it sells well (I'm sure it will).

I got my season 2 set today, and disc 1-2 play fine 2nd half of disc 3 won`t play, and disc 4 has all kinds of errors on it. The Bonus materials won't hardly play. I will be returning it to Circuit City tomorrow for a new one.

Yikes, that does not sound good! I have one episode left to watch on disk 2, and so far there was one hiccup on disk one and two on disk two, but it continued playing. However, in each case when I backed up and ran through same place again, it was OK. I should be getting into disk 3 tomorrow.

The very first thing I watched was the first pilot! Haha.... I know I'm so used to Three's Company being a 70s show, but the original pilot is sooooo 70s!!! :lol: Don't know if I described that well, but it felt sort of like a different show with the two actresses. And the character names being different!! hehehe... ;)

I saw the orignal pilot and it was alright but what annoys me is the skipping every 2 minutes, I just took it back to exchange it and hopefully there is will be no skipping this time! Oh yeah, the fake Janet was horrible! I couldn't stand her! :p

I just checked to see if there is any skipping but my DVD player broke, ugh but at least I have my DVD-Rom and I checked to see if there is any skipping and there is none but too bad I have to replace my DVD player, ugh! :(

I could see why they wanted to change it.The girls were more hornier than the guy.That would've been a bad story line.The Ropers remind me of The Bundys.Don't you think?

The $24.99 was a coupon price, our local sunday paper had coupons for Best Buy. The original price here is $25.99 also.

Your right, I thought the same thing about the pilot. Its is very 70's, I think its the clothes. Mrs. Roper didn't seem as laid back as in the First episode. It was so interesting to watch it, but I could see why they didn't go with it.

I have a feeling everyone watched the pilot first like i did. i found the ropers too laid back and vinnilla. the two original girl were indeed bad. you could tell there was no chemestry there. oe could see why they waited to get te "real" cast. here's something that i'm sure you picked uo on as well. the show's introduction was longer with seens from the first season. i comletely forgot about them. i remember in the 80's my station in buffalo played the full intro when it ran in syndication .

Here's more of my thoughts on the original pilot. While I enjoyed more having Joyce and Suzanne being the Janet and Chrissy, I thought about the original actresses in a different way. They weren't as bad, in my opinion, and they could've worked in - not Three's Company - but in another show. The one who played Jenny was funny, sassy, and sarcastic. I thought her funny lines were hilarious! Sort of like a Reba Hart from WB's "Reba". She was lively, in that respect. I just don't think she'd worked out as a Janet.

As for the Sam character, she could work in another show. She was a bit dumb but more in the cutesy, non-sexy way. She definitely would NOT compare to Chrissy Snow.

It seemed these girls were more into taking in Jack -- erm... David, I mean :rolleyes: -- into the apartment as a friend more like in a friendly way instead of a brother-sister, play sexy way. So, yes, they wouldn't work out like that.

And David was a filmmaker who's a good cook? Haha! Too funny seeing him into movies.... :lol:

Yeah the pilot was the first thing I watched too after I bought the dvd.
It had some great lines I thought. Both girls were witty, but they weren't very likable. I couldn't imagine a weekly show with them.
The Ropers were ok. I think the Mrs. Roper character seemed more 'hip' than later version.
I really enjoyed the bloopers.

I started watching the episodes out of order. I watched 'Bird Song' because I don't think I saw this one [not since I was a kid]

Good News!!! I got my replacement copy of season two today, and it plays great!!!!!!! :D

It seems like a few people had glitches on their DVDs so I'm not the only one, but I'll just put my part in too...the Stanley Casanova episode hardly plays and I tried it on two different DVD players. I'll have to go exchange it tomorrow... hopefully a new one will work fine.
