Teaser for a episode of Facts of Life was very long. I received a episode in the mail today and I thought the person sent me a episode without the opening credits which tells you how long the teaser really was for that episode.

...odd. It never had teasers before. ON NBC, USA, and N@N, the show just started with the opening credits. Hallmark was the only channel to give it teasers. It was a bit weird to watch at times too because some of the episodes, the teasers weren't even that good. They just picked a joke a minute or two into the episode and do the opening credits, have a few commercials, and come back to the episode. It was really awkward (Well I just butchered that word up) at times because you can still hear the laugh track going from the previous joke.

You mean N@N and USA. NBC had to show teasers because how else would Hallmark be able to show them?-LOL

No, there were never any teasers originally made for the show. Hallmark messed around with the episodes themselves. They decided to skip the opening credits and to just start with the episode. Then about a minute or two into the show when someone made a joke, Hallmark put the opening credits back in, along with a few commercials after the credits, then jumping back to the episode.

For example, Three's Company never had teasers. Say N@N decides to add them. So they skip the opening credits to all the episodes, show a bit of the episode, and then put the opening credits back in after Jack or Chrissy made a joke. Then they'd go to a commercial and come back to the episode.

I have no idea why Hallmark did that, but I hated it. They put the opening credits, for the most part, in most awkward (There's that word again) places.

I don't know about Facts of Life but I do know Hallmark used to show uncut episodes of M*A*S*H when the channel first got the rights to air the show. That was a while ago. I've since heard they stopped showing M*A*S*H uncut but seeing as I only get Hallmark for half the day I can't really check.
