I live in Canada and on April 1, I started getting TBS17...the Atlanta regional station. It sucks! I want my regular TBS Superstation back. Anyone else getting this feed? There lineup is quite different from each other. If anyone can check your TBS channel and let me know if the logo you see is 17TBS or just TBS. If it is just TBS...then I will contact my cable company. Thanx.

TBS dropped the superstation symbol in the US and is now just "TBS" But the lineup remains the same here. You are right about the lineups being different. If you go to the TBS website, the schedule for the Atlanta area is different (and not as good) as it is for the rest of us.

Do cable systems in Atlanta, get both TBS 17 and TBS Superstation?

Also, do cable systems in Chicago get both WGN 9 and WGN Superstaion? (the only difference is that WGN 9 airs WB shows in primetime, while WGN Superstation airs a movie in primetime)

No.. people in Atlanta only get the Atlanta feed. It's always been that way.. so while people around the country were getting Bosom Buddies, I was getting Captain Planet locally.

I would imagine people in Chicago get the WB shows on WGN. They don't have another WB affiliate there.

I, too, would have thought you'd get WTBS on broadcast and both on cable.

I had no idea WTBS 17 and TBS Superstaion was so different.

Yep. They show some of the same things, but not always. WTBS is actually an Independent Atlanta Station(like any Independent station in your area). Same goes for WGN... WGN-TV is much different from WGN Superstation. WGN-TV also has a Morning Newscast, while WGN Superstation does not.

WGN is the WB in Chicago. Basicaly, it airs the morning and weeknight news, the WB primetime line-up, and any Cubs or Sox games. I don't know why they chose it to be a national network.

Primarily for the Cubs I'd say, they have a national fan base. Also, when the Bulls were winning all those championships in the 90's I'm sure WGN did very well with their games.

I think a lot of cable stations dropped WGN when they became a WB affiliate. My cable company dropped it like 3 years ago and then just brought it back on March 1st. It will be nice to watch the Cubs games in the afternoons once again.

I checked with other cable carriers in my area and some have the TBS 17 feed while a couple are carrying TBS. The big difference is that Friends is now on at 5 central and Saturday mornings are quite different. I want my old TBS back.

Its cool when the Cubs play the Braves and you can switch back and forth between

"Superstation WGN"
and
"TBS Superstation"
which are the exact same thing at the exact same time.
