Ah, that's the thing. You haven't been informed well enough about London. They have 7 million people living there, so naturally you have to walk everywhere. What we did was ride the subway...That is, the Underground (as they call it). If you're going to be flying into Gatwick Airport when you get into London, you can catch the train to Victoria Station and then catch a few subways to get to Abbey Road. :D

I did a LOT of walking and only covered a TINY part of London. I was pissed off to say the least.
I must warn you now - PLEASE remember - England is small, therefore everything there is small. The sidewalks (they're not bad, regular-sized, but there's always people on them), the streets, the cars, etc. and everything is really narrow...Also, the cars go really fast there, so you have to cross the street FAST. And stay out of everybody's way and try not to bump into anybody - they'll know you're a tourist.

Oh yeah! It won't hurt to check a currency converter site so you know what the exchange rate is... I like this site - http://www.xe.com/ucc/ - you just choose GBP (UK Pounds) from the first box and then USD from the 2nd box...that will tell you how much US dollars is equal to £1. I just checked, and it's $1.84 for £1. It can get really expensive, so be sure you bring enough money with you too :D

Brian 04-14-2004, 12:20 AM OMFG five minutes ago I heard a loud snarling in the back yard and I thought it was my cat or my next-door neighbor's cat in a catfight. I brought my cat in and locked her up. Then my next door neighbor says that his cat encountered - get this - a RACOON!!! That must have been the snarling. From what I heard, I was certain it was not a sound that I could hear from a cat. God, I've got to watch Louise now. A racoon can kill a cat. Heck, a racoon can kill a dog! It's a good thing that my indoor cat, Oscar, has no desire to go outside, so he's safe. I don't want to handle a racoon, they can be dangerous. I hope it will either go away or we could get someone to get rid of it.

OMFG five minutes ago I heard a loud snarling in the back yard and I thought it was my cat or my next-door neighbor's cat in a catfight.

There's a small family of them living just down the street from me.
There have been some sort of wildlife around my house for years. 7 or so years ago there were coyotes hanging in the hills across the street. One of them even passed by my house and Louise was outside. Luckily the coyote didn't see her, she was hiding behind a bush.
Our house also had skunks. If I left Louise's food outside overnight, the skunks would eat it up.
A couple of months ago a possum came by and kept eating Louise's food. We would pour more than half a bag into a container, one of those ones that as the cat eats it, more comes out and it would clean it dry.
It wasn't the first time a racoon was around here. My other next-door neighbor used to raise rabbits, and a racoon would come and harass them. That was a few years or so ago.

Now that's scary: Coyotes. I see those all the time if I'm driving through East Texas.
They've (racoons) been around here for as long as I can remember, too. Same with possums and a skunk or two. Possums are always around, so I have to be careful not to leave Lady's food out for too long.
Those racoons can be a royal pain in the butt, so I'm glad they haven't come down this far. Neighbors are always seeing them, though.

See, if it was colder down here in the winter it might not be so bad. And you know what? There are duck crossing signs at the front of the neighborhood - people just need to pay attention and SLOW DOWN. Yuck, I imagine you saw a lot of that on your way to and from. That always bothers me. :(

I've seen some pictures and have heard people on tv talking about their experiences. One girl went in to have butt implants. When she walked out, she basically didn't have one and both of her thighs looked like they'd caved in.

Dutabi84 04-14-2004, 02:33 AM Here's a funny cat fight...
I recommend that you use a form of Mozilla when you use this, or at the very least have the google tool bar installed on IE, otherwise you'll get a popup asking to install stuff, and of course you will click NO each time.
