I like summer. I get to wear sandles, the sun shines, no snow.

But like everything else, there are drawbacks. What are some of yours?

1. CONSTRUCTION. I'm going to play hell getting to work. All 3 ways to get there are under construction until at least fall.

2. Bugs. I just hate bugs, especially in the house.

-MOSQUITOS. Mosquitos must die.

-When it gets over like...90...I hate that.

-you get bored a lot...but eh, I'm always bored

Other than that, it's the best season in the world ever. :)

3. The scorching hot temps!! Humidity is a major culprit, too. Up here in July and August, the humidity gets SO bad, it could feel like 120 degrees one day even if it's only 90 degrees outside. :faint:

I went to a wedding in July 2001 when it was only 85 outside but the humidity was way off the charts...OMG....there was NO A/C AT ALL in the church. I wanted to die.

I don't particularly care for summer, anyhow. I'd much rather be in cold weather. But here are the top things I hate about summer:

1.) SNAKES!! They are everywhere around here in the summer.
2.) Shorts, tank tops, swimsuits- I don't like summertime clothes...I prefer long sleeves and sweaters.
3.) Hot temperatures- I can stand the cold much more than the heat.
4.) Long days- I'm just a night time person.

I hate the insects........especially mosquitos and ticks.

I hate the humidity which makes it unbearable at times.

And I hate poison ivy, which I always seem to get during the summer months.

Southeast does too. It can feel like the rainforest around here somedays. So stuffy and the airs so damp, but really really hot.

Summer Time in California means TOURISTS that seem to take over the beaches and the famous landmarks like Diseneyland and SeaWorld; the traffic on the freeways are like parking lots and the mobs at the beaches are horrendous; but I love the fact that it stays light outside til 9 PM..and summertime means travelling time..So I usually leave over-crowded California for places like Four Corners Nationall Park or camping in the mountains

The shots seem to have no effect on me, because I still wind up getting it. :(

I HATE summer. The only thing good about it is that college gets out in May. I hate it when it gets over 80 degrees (the humidity here is awful!). I hate the bugs, ALL bugs. I hate summer clothing. I would much rather wear a nice sweater than a polo. I love the cold AND snow. In the winter I even keep the heat from coming into my room by closing the vent and sometimes I even run the fan! I know this sounds nuts.

I hate the summer as well. The heat and humidity drives me crazy. It gives me an almost claustrophic feeling. I love Spring and Fall.

That's why I LOVE Colorado. No humidity at all. :D Just warm, dry air. So when it's about 90 degrees outside, you can actually sit under a tree and feel 20 degrees cooler. And the nights can drop down to the 60's. It's the perfect place to spend your summer.

Since I work outside just about every day, the Summer heat and humidity can be harsh. July and August are really brutal.
Plus, I burn very fast, so I have to keep coated with sunblock.

Then of course I get home on a Firday after standing out in the 90 degree heat all week, and my roomie will say "What a beautiful day! Let's go to a bar where they let you sit outside!"

That's when the can of wup-ass is opened.

I didn't know it gets hot real bad in the midwest. It's not that hot in Cleveland in the summer. The highest temperature Cleveland usually has is about in the low 90's. I'm with u Solomon, i hate it when the NBA season is over cause i'm a basketball fanatic. I hate crickets, bugs, mosquitos. When i lived in Maryland, we used to get crickets real bad in the summer & they chirp so loud u can tell they're in the house. I like wearing summer clothing like short sleeve t shirts. I don't like wearing shorts a lot but i will when i play basketball. I haven't been to a amusement park in a long time. I used to go to Geauga Lake which is called Six Flags now in Cleveland & Cedar Point. Six Flags & Cedar Point i heard are the biggest amusement parks in america. That's a good thing for my city cause Cleveland hardly gets any attention. I also like the summer cause girls wear opentoe shoes to show their feet & they wear tight shorts to show them legs.

i love summer: warm weather, warm rain, pool open, going to the beach, rita's water ice, no school, flip flops/sandals, actual free time, fireflies, july 4th picnics, thunderstorms, and since i have SAD, im just happier in summer.
i even like humidity!

only bad things:
getting sunburnt
bugs

I can't wait until warm weather! It's like the fricken north pole here anymore. There's some stuff I don't like about summer, but not too much...It sucks when you're stuck inside working when the sun's shining outside. I don't like mowing grass. I also don't like it when you go to the local swimming hole and everybody and their grandpa is there spalshing around. AND I don't like daylight saving time!

Oh yeah...there's another thing I hate. Droughts. I get real antsy when it doesn't rain for a month. 1) I worry about severe droughts and having no water. And 2) It's too dry and monotonous. I hate nothing but sunshine day, after day, after day...
