Whitman Mayo appeared on Conan O'Brien on 2/8/96. Conan, a big fan of Sanford and Son, had begun a nationwide search to locate him, including a telephone hotline and nightly updates on his show. Wow! I didn't realize he was so young. The people who did the makeup on those old Norman Lear shows really were underrated. I thought he was wayyyy older than 70. He looked like he was 70 when he was on Sanford and Son.

Conan should do a nationwide search for another S&S cast member: Gregory Sierra! Is anyone listening out there?? :D
