I'm suprised how inexpensive it is. Most sitcoms on DVD cost between 40-50 dollars. I picked this one up for 25. The episodes are in production order and from what I can tell, every episode is unedited The only problem I had was they didn't include the episode "the Over the hill gag". Since the episodes are in production order, I'm sure it will be on the season 5 DVD.

I paid less than 25 dollars myself for the DVD when I pre-ordered a month ago..I was very ahppy with the DVD for a couple of reasons, one was that I was missing a couple of the episodes from the 4th season in my Sanford and Son collection, and it was great to see the episodes un-cut and uncensored...

. . . I had the same reaction. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was. I was expecting it to be more than that. Then the 3 episodes I watched yesterday, I don't remember ever seeing them before. e.g., the Frank Sinatra ring episode. I don't remember ever seeing that episode before. So I enjoyed the dvd set very much so far.

Why would that episode be missing if it's a season 4 episode? I haven't even bought the DVD yet and already turned off.

I looked at my episode list and "the over the hill gag" aired in the 4th season but it it's production no. is 501 and since the DVD is in production order, that episode will be on the season 5 DVD set. Still it would have been nice if it were on the season 4 DVD but it's not a big deal.
