George catches disco fever. jamesanthony 03-31-2004, 05:06 PM I think it's called Disco Fever. TvTome.com lists the episode titles and I believe this one aired in year 5. Weird I can actually remember watching this in 1979 when disco was the dance craze. At one point in the show George screams FREAK OUT which was the chant of that popular song by Chic at the time. Sherman Hemsley was so high energy in his performance in this show, especially in this episode with his silk shirt half open, a bunch of chains on and a loud colored pair of pants. This is the sort of scene that was funnny then and hilarious to look at in retrospect. What's really funny is I remember being in school at that time and some of my teachers dressed like this and were middle aged like George. And they expected us to take them seriously when they were in their 50s and lookd like they stepped out of some lounge. He really kicked it in the episode Dinner for Harry. boechsner 04-01-2004, 12:38 AM The episode is called Every Night Fever, from the 5th season. |
