stations always have. In the last scene of TC when Mr. Bradford walks in on Jack and Vicky in bed and says he is the new landlord, on the local stations, THE THREE"S COMPANY logo appears and is Changed into THREE"S A CROWD. N@N never showed that pArt when airing the last scene.

Yeah there were several TC fans upset about that CHOPPED UP dance scene. I'm glad caught it on TBS

Yeah, I wanted to see that scene, but the only channel I got TC on was N@N, so all I saw was the chopped up scene!

Yeah it's been years since I seen that ending of THree's Company. I think it was 1988.

I just thought about this. N@N probably never showed that change of LOGO from Three's Company to Three's A Crowd because they didn't want to mislead TC fans into thinking they would start showing THree's A crowd episodes-LOL

Which makes me think now, why the hell did my local station show the logo change if they never aired three's a crowd?-LOL I can understand why ABC did it because it led right to the first episode of TAC the following week.

having worked in the editing dept of a tv station i can tell you the answer. years ago( or at least until n@ n started it) your local station or a national(like tbs) bought the whole package of episodes-from season 1 to the end. than you would simple add in the commercials -usually 7-8 minutes per show to fill space. they would run the whole show because that's what a station bought --the whole show///so naturally the three's a crowd part was part of the show, no one would ever think of editing out for commercials. when n@ n got EXCLUSIVE rights to the show...and i'm sure they done it with other shows, they could actually sell more commercial time than the show allowed cause of its popularity. thus cutting the show short concept began. now i'm not sure if they were the first to do it , but tnn, tbs, and local markets never did it before. so when your local station ran the whole last episode-basically they were running the whole show like it was ment to be.

inetresting. I think this was beteen 1986-88. I remember it like it was yesterday. The word Company under Three's was PUSHED aside by the word A CROWD.

I'm a bid confused why everyone keeps referring to 86-88. the final three's comp episode aired sept 84, and the first tac was a week later, also sept 84......

When I say 86-88 I meant in local syndication.
