Tonight on The Diff'rent Strokes marathon the first episode is the pilot for the Facts of Life. The very 1st one not"Rough Housing."
I just wanted to let everyone know it's on 8:00p.m./9:00p.m. where ever you live. Check your tv guide or tvguide Channel.Enjoy. I'm sure we will be having discussions aboout it tomorrow.

Oh yes. I am looking forward to it. Last time I missed it b/c my local cable co. screwed up and N@N was the only channel that had a fuzzy picture on my TV. Lots of people here saw it last time though. I heard it wasn't that great, but I'll my $.02 if I see it this time.

You have to admit though, that not all
pilots seem that very good. That's just
my theory and opinion,

taped it. I was a big Dana Plato/ Kimberly Drummond fan. I loved tonight's Diff'rent Strokes Marathon. What was everyone's favorite scenes from the Pilot? Mine was when Mrs.Garrett & Kimberly first walk in
& there's all that commotion going on. Also the girls doing gymnastics was funny.

Hey! I liked the part where Mrs.Garrett said, who knows I might smoke anything that'll burn, cigars, pipes, bamboo, rope. and then later how she was like O I don't believe this! I was in the kitchen this morning minded my own business, Kimberly had a little problem and I offered to help, the next thing I know, I'm playing with a firsbee and sayin I smoke bamboo!On top of that while a poor little girl's heart is breakin I'm supposed to be sewin four hundred comstumes and lookin for a frog named leon I (then the frog lands in her lap and she falls backward on the bed!)
I thought that was HILARIOUS!! I watched it like three times and I have it memorized(or close) already!I seem to remember things that are funny!!Actually, I must admit the part when Mrs.Garrett didn't take the job as housemother was very strange.Considering the fact that she was the housemother to start out with in FOL.Also, I think it's been posted before but did anyone else notice that the uniforms said Eastlake School and not Eastland.(it's only two letters difference but still!)
Did anyone notice how dumb blonde-ish(no offense to those of you who are literally blonde!)Sue Ann acted in the pilot, when in FOl she was really much smarter and much more oh I don't know what the word for it is, but I guess, normal would fit.It was very strange.Anyway, I'll stop pointing out the weaknesses and go now!
All in all it was pretty good.

Yep, it was originally called "Eastlake" because it was named after the "Westlake" School for Girls, where Mindy Cohn was attending when Charlotte Rae discovered her. Later, when it became FOL, they changed it to Eastland.

Yea, that wasn't the Sue Ann we are used to seeing, but hey- I liked her better in the pilot ep than during the 1st season.
