Yes I know I already asked this a couple weeks ago, but its driving my crazy. Ive done everything I could possibly do, but nothing works. Anyways, my computer colors are off, and Id like to get them back. My Dads not home, so I decided Ima fix it myself (Im used to hearing him bitch about me messing with the computer wires anyways :o ). Anyways, my Dad thinks its something to do with the video card or whatever, which is why the colors are off. Ok, first off.. what the hell is a video card and where is it located? Is there a way I can play with it to fix it? Im sick of seeing only shades of blue. I dont even like the damn color!

on the back of the monitor it should have a power cable and a video cable, with the computer off, unplug them both

look at the pins on the end of the video cable, are any of them bent or damaged?
firmly plug both cables back in, making sure the video cable is in straight
(some monitors don't have a removable cable, if this is the case, skip this part)

is the monitor normally squished up against the wall or the back of your desk? is there a kink in the cable?

follow the video cable to the back of the computer, it should be plugged into a D-shaped connector with 2 thumbscrews, unplug it and inspect the pins

if the cable is kinked or has bent pins replace it, if there is still a problem with the colors, beat your dad with the cable.

Just reinstall windows. this will restore everything. there are a LOT of things that wouldn't "restore", and it is NOT the first step you should ever try
