View Full Version : Predictions for the Reunion DianeChambers87 03-29-2004, 06:57 PM HOw do you think it will happen? What will happen? Will there ever even be a reunion? Brian Damage 03-29-2004, 07:56 PM If there is a reunion, I think it'll be a retrospective of the show. I don't think the actors will get in character. barwars 03-29-2004, 08:10 PM I disagree Brian.... I think they WILL get in character. Everyone with the exception of Kirstie Alley. I dont think it will come soon. Id say 2007.... everyone would still be moderately young.... and it would be the 25th anniversary of the show. I couldnt really determine HOW the storyline would be until "Frasier" ends.... but hopefully his return to Boston will come May 13th. Brian Damage 03-29-2004, 08:14 PM I don't think Frasier will be returning to Cheers. barwars 03-29-2004, 08:24 PM Originally posted by Brian Damage I don't think Frasier will be returning to Cheers. As cool as it would be. I honestly dont think he will. I DO think that Cheers and/or Lilith will somehow be mentioned in the finale however. Brian Damage 03-29-2004, 08:27 PM I can only hope. DianeChambers87 03-29-2004, 08:33 PM I am watching this last season...and let me just say the more and more I watch the more and more I love Niles! I wish he'd been in Cheers....hahahaha I think they ought to pay their respects and mention the show that gave them their start, even if it's a two second type thing, or one line, I don't know.... anything....lol I'm desperate...we're desperate... barwars 03-29-2004, 08:37 PM Originally posted by DianeChambers87 I am watching this last season...and let me just say the more and more I watch the more and more I love Niles! He would HATE it. At least Frasier can hang out and be one of the guys. But as somebody once pointed out on the Frasier boards.... Niles' has NEVER worn jeans. Cliff in the stool DIRECTLY to the left of him. And Niles stuck in between them.... without a full seat. DianeChambers87 03-29-2004, 08:50 PM I think they'd be declared the most anal couple in tv history. barwars 03-29-2004, 08:52 PM where did our posts go?? MaydayMalonesGirl 03-29-2004, 08:54 PM Originally posted by barwars88 where did our posts go?? New thread. barwars 03-29-2004, 08:54 PM Well anyways.... If theres a finale I have 2 ABSOLUTE rules. Ted, Shelley, Rhea, John, Woody, Kelsey, *Bebe, and George Wendt.... must ALL be in it (Bebe Neuwirth is a give-or-take.... but she would be nice) AND it MUST be filmed "in front of a live studio audience" Brian Damage 03-29-2004, 08:57 PM Originally posted by barwars88 AND it MUST be filmed "in front of a live studio audience" I agree with you 100% on that one. I hate these reunion movies that are filmed like a movie. The studio audience adds something. DianeChambers87 03-29-2004, 09:01 PM Originally posted by Brian Damage I agree with you 100% on that one. I hate these reunion movies that are filmed like a movie. The studio audience adds something. yes, and please please no added characters like Wise cracking kids or anything...we don't want to see the characters trying to deal with parenthood...we want them exactly the way we left them 11 years ago Brian Damage 03-29-2004, 09:03 PM Unless of course Diane secretly had Sam's baby. I'd make an exception for that. DianeChambers87 03-29-2004, 09:05 PM Originally posted by Brian Damage Unless of course Diane secretly had Sam's baby. I'd make an exception for that. Yes, ofcourse the one exception is if it's Sam and Diane's child....but if it's Sam and Somebody else's or Diane and somebody else's....I'll go ballistic Brian Damage 03-29-2004, 09:07 PM As would I. barwars 03-29-2004, 09:16 PM Originally posted by DianeChambers87 Yes, ofcourse the one exception is if it's Sam and Diane's child....but if it's Sam and Somebody else's or Diane and somebody else's....I'll go ballistic ok.... so 3 DEFINATE rules. FOLN@NFan 03-29-2004, 11:33 PM i highly doubt it will be in front of a truly live studio audience, and i wouldnt want a laugh track either. i want it in the FORMAT of the show, more than anything. i think, way back when, in my cheers reunion movie fanfic, i started it w/ the Cheers sign, and "Cheers; the Reunion is NOT filmed in front of a live studio audience," or something like that. you'd need your teaser scene, and the theme (lengthened, maybe, even). then transition shots w/ its music (maybe even from the show actually, or modernized versions of it). it'd just be longer. to make it work as a movie, id allow for some changes to the style/format/whatever, just so it doesnt ignore the theme (lol). |
