Sounds Painful! I have dislocated my wrist, but Iv'e never broken anything.
robyrob 03-29-2004, 12:39 AM i've broken a LOT of little ones, but no big ones....
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 03-29-2004, 12:40 AM Slipped/tripped on a school bag wearing my jelly sandals in 7th grade and broke my elbow.
Small Wonderian 03-29-2004, 12:48 AM I've bumped my knees on my bed post and the fluid between the bones where it makes it easy to squat drained and now I have severe pain when I squat or sit for a long time.
Other than that....no major bone breakage to report.
PZelda 03-29-2004, 12:55 AM Yep, I've broken a bone...It was 10 years ago, when I was in 3rd grade in '93. It was a sledding accident -- I ended up breaking my right collarbone. I have absolutely no recollection of the accident at all.
Dutabi84 03-29-2004, 01:30 AM Just dislocated the lower part of my leg several times. Nothing else.
dawsongirl 03-29-2004, 01:56 AM I dislocate my knee caps a lot (they're really out of place), but no breaks.
~*Hannah_Lee*~ 03-29-2004, 02:24 AM I fractured my foot in the second grade. I was on a see-saw, and a girl heavier than me was on the other end, so I was sitting up in the air. Well, my feet were curled up underneath me, and when she jumped off i landed right on top of my folded up feet. Man, that hurt so bad when I did that...I cant imagine actually breaking it.
phoebe7165 03-29-2004, 03:35 AM I broke my wrist just last summer. I fell back and on my hand. When I got up, I knew I did something to my wrist because it wouldn't move. I started feeling nauseous because the pain started getting really intense. Since I drive an 18-wheeler for a living, the doctor wouldn't let me work for 3 months, so I was on workman's comp. Can't drive a big truck with a cast on. I know alot of people would be asking "Why are you complaining?" but after a few weeks being at home, I was going stir crazy!!
I guess Nannyfine hasn't seen this thread yet, because she broke her foot just a few weeks ago.
I hope I never break another bone again. Just that little wrist break was enough for me!!
Tuesday Weld 03-29-2004, 10:51 AM Nope, never.
Hollow 03-29-2004, 03:30 PM no.
HuntingtonM15 03-29-2004, 03:33 PM I broke my left arm when I was 8.
Rhiannon 03-29-2004, 05:00 PM Nah, I've never broken anything.
Broken left clavicle two and a half years ago, fractured skull when I was five.

Oh my. I broke my right collarbone...
Did you have to wear a weird brace that went around your shoulders and back? I had to wear mine for like 6 weeks...I don't know if they still do that, I don't know anybody else that's broken their collarbone, and I broke mine in 1993...

What kind of psycho doctors did you go to?
;)
I had my clavicle put back together with pins and wire.
For the first few weeks I had to wear this belt thing that kept my left arm straped to my chest, then I had to keep my arm in a sling for several more weeks.
Man, was my arm stiff.
Then I had to have another operation to take the pins out.
Boy, was that a fun eleven weeks.
Nanny Fine 03-29-2004, 11:49 PM Yes
6 weeks ago I broke my ankle at work.
I just had the cast removed and I'm in an air cast until further notice.
I don't have much range of motion in my ankle right now - hoping that comes with the exercises I do.
Very very painful.

@the first part
 OMG...that sounds SOOOO painful...I didn't break mine THAT badly, thank God. I have absolutely no recollection of the accident at all, so I don't even remember the pain that came with it...I also don't even remember taking painkillers for my collarbone when we were in the ER...It wasn't until we were at the movie store after being at the ER that I REALLY had to go to the bathroom...so I went to the bathroom and I threw up the painkillers...Wow...it was really bad.
If I can recall, I think I also had to wear my brace every night to bed...I had to wear it over my clothes. Yep, that was a lot of fun.

Yup, all the time growing up. The worst I had was when I broke and dislocated my left ankle. I had to have emergency surgery where they inserted 4 screws into my ankle.

crystals 04-01-2004, 03:03 AM I've never broken any bones, to my knowledge anyway, but in third grade I injured the left side of my neck and my left shoulder really badly and now have scoliosis because of that. It hurt really badly when I first injured it, though. With my luck, for all I know, I could have fractured it or something. I don't know if the doctors took x-rays or not. I asked my parents last year because I was curious, but they didn't remember. I did get x-rays done last May though and got a diagnosis of scoliosis. I should have gone sooner, 'cause I had pain in my shoulder and neck coming back every once in awhile since the 4th grade. I hate doctors who say there's nothing wrong with you when you're in pain.
These are the pins and wire they used to put my collarbone back together. It's amazing what the Doctors will let you keep if you just ask.
;)
G~baby 04-05-2004, 08:27 PM I've broken my right collarbone three times(the same one and tha same place on my right collarbone). Once when i was in 1st grade, i feel into a drain pipe with bolders while i was on a bike...the breaks broke and i couldnt get off the bike cuz my shoe string was stuck around the peddle and i have a scar on my face right at my lip from it but it isnt easy to find-like i was going down this hill...if i wouldnt have had the helmet on i probally would have been dead or brain damaged cuz there was this huge dent in the helmet. The 2nd time i was kart-wheeled into by a heavy set girl and the third time i feel on ice and caught myself on my arm but since i had just gotten the sling off my arm 3 weeks b4 this, the strain from the fall on my arm went all the way up and cracked my collarbone agian. I thought i had broken it again for the 4th time about 2 yrs ago playing softball but it was just badly brusied. When i broke it the 2nd and 3rd time i was in 5th grade....broke it twice in one year...fun fun!! I have also jammed all my fingers(and probally broken one or two) and ive jammed one of my wrists and ive twisited my ankles about 3oo times-LoL.
TJL~yeah the 1st and 3rd time i broke mine i had to wear that brace ur talking about...i call it a butterfly cast....i hated that thing!! And yeah, after i got the sling off for the 2nd break, my arm was stiff-LoL. I ad to wear each of the braces\sling about 4-5 weeks everyday and night, 24\7.

Sara Micelli 04-06-2004, 07:16 PM In 2002, I broke my leg in 3 places. Two of the broken bones were completely separated from the rest of the leg. It was painful.
