I've only seen 2 episodes from the 4th season. I can get season 4 for less than $25 so the price isn't an issue. What I'm concerned with is the quality of the show. Was it as good as previous seasons? Did Julios departure affect the show?

In the beginning the fourth season was not that great since Redd Foxx was not around, then he returned and some of the episodes during the fourth season were great...I highly recommend purchasing the fourth season DVD and having Julio character absent was not a major dent in the show since actor Gregory Sierra left Sanford and Son to play Chano in Barney Miller during that time period:)
