Tuesday, March 30th is Peter Marshall's birthday. He was the host of the original "Hollywood Squares". I would wish Peter a very happy birthday!

One of my favorite game show hosts. Maybe because I knew him as an actor, before I knew him as a game show host. From 1950's "Holiday Rhythm" to 1982's "Annie," I knew him best from "Ensign Pulver," the sequel to "Mister Roberts," where he appeared w/ Burl Ives, Walter Matthau, Tommy Sands, Larry Hagman, Jack Nicholson, George Lindsey, James Farentino, James Coco, and Robert Walker, Jr.
He was also a writer. Writing 1968's "Maryjane" w/ Fabian and Teri Garr, which I have not seen, butr emember from its television commercials.
He also has a couple of famous relatives. His older sister is actress Joanne Dru and his son was professional baseball player Pete LaCock.

By the way, Peter Marshall is still hosting that show on weekdays between 9:00 AM to noon on the Music of Your Life. Go to our website: http://www.musicofyourlife.com to find more on this schedule. After Peter's show, another game show veteran Wink Martindale takes over from noon to 3:00 PM on all four stations: WGHQ, WKIP, WELV and WHUC. None of these stations playing the Music of Your Life on all New York City AM stations, Long Island's "Music of Your Life" affiliate, 540 WLUX switched its format last year and becomes "Island Talk" 540 WLIE. A Long Island talk station.
