Mr.Blue 03-28-2004, 02:09 PM Do you want Roseanne on DVD? Do you want all the episodes? Then tell Carsey-Warner That! Write them, call them, and e-mail them. Flood their mailbox so they have to give us Roseanne on DVD!

cjmg85 03-29-2004, 03:47 PM yeah, I spent over an hour searching for an email address last night and that is like the ONLY one that they have. I agree, send your demands to that one so that they can be forwarded. Flood it.
cjmg85 03-29-2004, 05:07 PM Just sent off an email. I highly suggest that others who want to see this happen do the same ASAP.
cjmg85 03-30-2004, 03:40 PM Anyone else making their demands for the show to DVD heard? If we show them just how much we want this, they will (hopfully) listen and show us some results.
I'll let you all know if I get a response from the email I sent their way.
LecyGoransonfan 03-30-2004, 04:29 PM I just sent them an email. I hope they read these, maybe soon I'll start to send them REAL letters.

Mr.Blue 04-02-2004, 10:34 AM I send an e-mail everyday. You all should do the same.
Mr.Blue 04-06-2004, 10:04 PM Continue to send them e-mails!
HuntingtonM15 04-07-2004, 02:34 PM Did anyone get a response from that e-mail address yet? I didn't, but I got a friend to e-mail them, and she got a response.
"We are looking at putting the show on DVD, however at this time we do not have a time frame of when it will be available."
LecyGoransonfan 04-07-2004, 06:40 PM That's the same exact response I got. Well at least they said they looking forward to putting it on.
cjmg85 04-09-2004, 03:44 AM I got the same exact thing:
"We are looking at putting the show on DVD, however at this time we do not have a timeframe of when it will be available.
Thank you for your interest in the SHOW."
I hope that they really are looking at putting the show to DVD. I wonder why they don't have a timeframe yet. This show stopped 7 years ago, it's WAY overdue for DVD.
Moonlit_Suburb 04-09-2004, 02:26 PM I sent them an e-mail yesterday asking for DVDs of Roseanne, The Cosby Show, That '70s Show and 3rd Rock from the Sun. I'm not expecting much of a response, but I want them to know that the demand is there.
HuntingtonM15 04-09-2004, 03:29 PM I assume they are looking into putting it on DVD, but are in no hurry. They probably started responding to e-mails so people would stop sending so many.
Moonlit_Suburb 04-12-2004, 12:11 AM I hear that one reason Carsey-Werner might not want to release Roseanne on DVD, is because they won't make as much money on syndicatiion if DVDs are available. (Roseanne also said if releasing DVD sets meant she received less money, she didn't want them to be released...) Well, I read a few days ago at The Futon Critic that Friends is the second most watched show in syndication, behiend Seinfeld. OK, there are like 7 seasons of Friends available on DVD, and the tv ratings are still huge! Carsey-Werner need to stop being so worried about this
That '70s Show is also a syndication hit, the fourth most watched show in syndication, behiend Everybody Loves Raymond at number three. They probably won't want to release '70s either
BTW, Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond are both set for DVD releases this year.
Hey, Mr. Blue, did you ever call Carsey-Werner? If so, how did it go? And when you call, does someone answer the phone, or do you get automated messages?

The fans want it. Roseanne Barr wants it.
You won't let us have it.
We want "Roseanne" on DVD. It hasn't gotten by us fans that Carsey-Werner-Mandabach Productions has not released its shows on DVD, not even its most successful shows like "The Cosby Show", "A Different World", and of course, "Roseanne". From what I have seen in numerous articles, Roseanne Barr is very interested in the idea of putting the show on DVD. Face it, people are still going to watch the shows on TV. Not everyone is so crazy about the show that they will buy the DVDs and not watch it on Oxygen Network or Nick@Nite. But many networks edit episodes, and sometimes omit certain ones completely. Please honor your fans' requests and put "Roseanne" on DVD.
Wait! Before you reply, think twice. Do not give me Carsey-Werner's infamous "We are looking at putting the show on DVD, however at this time we do not have a time frame of when it will be available." speech. We all know that you think you won't make as much money in syndications if this show is released on DVD. But look at it from the fan's point of view. Why should we wait through 222 episodes to see our favorite episode again? "Friends" is released on DVD, and it is still one of the most popular shows in syndication. Trust me, you will make plenty of profit with your fans buying the DVDs.

what do you think of it?
LecyGoransonfan 04-12-2004, 01:07 PM very well done-couldn't have done it better myself
cjmg85 04-12-2004, 02:54 PM Nice! Be sure to post your reply if you get one. If you don't get one in a timely manner (within a month for someone like them, I would say) send it again and don't stop sending it until you get a reply. Good job on it though it's very well done. They really need to get it through their brains that people do want these DVDs and will continue to watch the show on television. Like me, for example. I would buy all seasons plus any extras that they come out with and I would STILL watch it in syndication on Oxygen, Nick, and UPN.
Mr.Blue 04-12-2004, 10:50 PM Ok, if you think about it if they started sending responses they must be annoyed by the e-mails and don't want them filling their inbox. So if we keep sending they may start really thinking about it, and maybe even take the next step and give us Roseanne on DVD. Their excuses are getting annoying, I don't know about you but I'm sick of the "time frame" crap. Let's send this e-mail (thank you very much for composeing this letter tanabi5790) and picture to get this campaign rolling!!!

cjmg85 04-12-2004, 11:03 PM I think that the email should be in your own words.
Anyway, the more that they get, the more that they'll get it through their heads that people really do want this to happen. Flood their email boxes!!! Let the non-stop demand begin!!!
db108108 04-13-2004, 12:51 AM They can't use the excuse that it might ruin syndication sales- Friends is out on DVD (some seasons anyway) and it's syndie ratings are still very high.
Mr.Blue 04-16-2004, 08:30 PM Keep E-mailing, Never Stop Until We Win!!!!!!!!!
Iloveroseanne 04-17-2004, 01:14 AM Don't forget Frasier. His show is widely popular and already has a DVD set. his show is also in snydication.
I'll send a letter off too. It's high time they put out a DB+VD box set of Roseanne even if it's just seasons 1&2 to start with.
cjmg85 04-17-2004, 01:19 AM Speaking of Frasier, don't forget to watch the series finale! It airs on Thursday May 13 at 9:00 PM on NBC.
I've also heard that they are airing some kind of clip show at 8:00 the same night to take a look back at the entire series before the finale.
Mr.Blue 04-17-2004, 11:12 PM Yes, keep the e-mails a-sending!
Mr.Blue 05-15-2004, 09:50 AM We can do it, keep pushing keep trying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dean Winchester 05-15-2004, 09:25 PM I think it's stupid they won't release Roseanne on DVD because of syndication. Like it's been said several times before, Friends, Frasier and Will And Grac all do extraordinarily well in syndication, yet the episodes are also available on DVD. There are different sets of fans for a tv show. There are some of us who will want every single episode of Roseanne on DVD, there are others who love the show on N@N, but wouldn't buy it on DVD. Those of us in the former catagory deserve that right
Mr.Blue 07-22-2004, 03:53 PM Ok, this is it. Cosby is coming to DVD and aparentley CW has the means to do this but they haven't so far. So here comes phase 2 of the Roseanne on DVD Campaign.
1. Go out and buy a DVD or Video Case, or use a DVD case you have by slipping the cover art out and inserting the Roseanne Cover art, or tape the cover art to a regular recording tape box and send that.
2. Print out the Roseanne Cover Art in the Photo Gallery.
3. Tape to the outside of the box or slide in plastic cover (depending on which kind of Video/DVD box you get).
4. Print out the campaign letter and tape to the back of the box.
5. Send to Carsey Warner. Tell them we want our Roseanne on DVD!
