Max stole the show from the start of the episode to the end. Max destroys a chair in the trio's apt, then knocks Larry's door down and still tried to get Jack after Jack closed the coffin-LOL Plain and simple, MAX WAS WILD!!!!-LOL Great Episode.

i know that had a least a jail, which jack was sent there after assulting a cop. granted it was an accident---but what other police destrict that you can think of were the cops would put you in jail, not read you your rights, and then out of the goodness of there heart release you for ASSULTING AN OFFICER. now thats
television. one other interesting note about the above mentioned episode... it is the only known tc episode in which a black actor has lines on the show. now thats something hard to believe considering there were over 170 epis made.

No, he didn't faint when Jack sneezed. He fainted before the funeral when Max said outside Furley's apartment to the girls: "You mean to tell me that Jack Tripper is dead?"

He fainted twice. Once when he heard Jack was dead ans when Jack SNEEZED inside the coffin. The second time he fainted Janet and Larry caught him before he hit the floor.

Oh, OK. Now I remember. He seems to faint a lot, like when he went to the hospital and thought Jack had a baby.

I didn't like it -- I thought it was an omen (I'm very superstitious)

I loved this episodes, it was easily one of my favorites. Terry Kiser did a great job in that episode. It's easy to see why they used him more than once, he's hysterical.

I think they used him 3 times.

Could be. I only remember two, but it's very possible he did more. It was common for guest stars to show up later as other stars, because once people were on, they always wanted a chance to work on it again. I think Jeffrey Tambor guest starred more than once as well.

There's something I've wanted to know. How did Max know where Larry's apartment was when he overheard Cindy talking on the phone with Jack?

Because Max walked back in the apt when Cindy was on the phone saying to Jack on the phone-"Jack where are you"? Upstairs at Larry's?

Actually, Furley fainted THREE times. The first time was when he heard the girls tell Max that Jack was dead. The third time was at the funeral when Jack sneezed. But the SECOND time was right after the first, and unfortunately it was cut out by Nick-at-Nite. Shortly after the first fainting, the girls leave Max and Mr. Furley gets up and starts the following dialog with Max:

Furley: "Did they say that Jack was dead?"
Max: "That's what they said."
Furley: "Oh, I feel horrible!"
Max: "Me too. I wanted to kill him myself!"

At this point, Furley faints again. I think it's a real shame that N@N had to cut that part out. Maybe they thought that Max's last line was too morbid.

There was no cut from N@N. Maybe Max just walked up to the first apartment on the third floor and that happened to be Larry's. But there is a major goof with this scene.

After Max breaks down the door, he tells Larry to tell Jack that he will find him and then kill him, before walking out. Within a split second of Max existing, Larry turns to Jack and says in a rather loud voice: "Ahhh.....Jack!" and the two of them start talking.

The problem is, Max had just left a split second earlier and he would have heard Larry call Jack. Therefore, he would have returned to Larry's apartment now he knows that Jack was really hiding in there.
