The second episode of "The D.A." seemed a LOT more "Viewer Friendly" and easier to take on a "laid back" Friday night than the first heavy-handed episode.

Tonight's plot was a typical "Whodunit?" murder mystery, but VERY well-written and a definite cut above the usual hour-long crime drama fare.

Steven Weber is excellent in his role of the D.A.....but it's a little disturbing that a good deal of the hour's screen time is being given to Bruno Campos investigating the case. Campos is also excellent in HIS role, but as a "Wings" fan I like to think of this series as STEVEN'S show, and he's definitely sharing the spotlight with Campos. (Isn't that SHELFISH of me?).

Tonight's show even had some brief "Brian Hackett"-type moments from Steven....There was a part where someone was running down the sordid details of the murder....lesbians, dead animals, etc.....and Steven said (with a straight face), "Sounds like a bad dinner theatre production of "Cabaret"!"....Now if THAT doesn't sound like a "Brian Hackett" line, I don't know what DOES!

"The D.A." is really developing into an interesting drama...and I hope that it turns out to be a successful one!
