View Full Version : Name Two Theme Songs that you liked but never cared for the show TVFactFan 03-26-2004, 08:23 PM Perfect Strangers-Great opening theme but horrible show. Family Ties-great opening theme but never got into the show barwars 03-26-2004, 10:04 PM All in the Family - I know its a classic show, but just a little too political for me. Either way.... definately one of the best themesongs ever. Rhiannon 03-28-2004, 05:13 PM Kinight Rider, or vice versa I liked "The Nanny" but hated the theme song LucyFan 03-28-2004, 05:14 PM I like the theme song, "Everybody Knows Your Name", but I could care less for Cheers. Hogan's Heroes - OK theme song, but one HORRIBLE show. TVQuack 03-28-2004, 11:18 PM Silver Spoons -- Mostly before my time. dawsongirl 03-29-2004, 02:12 AM There's been a few, but I can't think of them right now. Mainly I just like instrumental themes. Ones with words are always really cheesy and lame. Mr. Television 03-29-2004, 02:14 AM Friends, Cagney and Lacey. Brent88 03-29-2004, 04:33 PM I like some of The Cosby Show intros... but can't get into the show(maybe because it's on 100 times a day?) Penny Lane 03-30-2004, 08:31 PM I love the Cheers theme song but never watched the show very much.:D Small Wonderian 03-30-2004, 09:44 PM Knight Rider Friends TVFactFan 03-30-2004, 09:52 PM I forgot to add Family Ties and Step By Step James 04-02-2004, 01:18 AM Mine would be Family Ties and Growing Pains, since they were sung by two of my favorite artists, Johnny Mathis and B. J. Thomas. (Granted, B. J. didn't sing on the later episodes of GP.) Dean Winchester 04-02-2004, 04:15 PM I remember loving the opening credits/theme song to Grand, yet I can't remember anything about the actual show David 04-02-2004, 08:16 PM Originally posted by Penny Lane I love the Cheers theme song but never watched the show very much.:D Ditto. Same for Scrubs. TVFactFan 04-02-2004, 08:19 PM Did I mention Gimmie a BreaK? If not then add that to the list AKA 04-02-2004, 08:29 PM Weren't there multiple themes for that one, Solomon? TVFactFan 04-02-2004, 08:32 PM Originally posted by AKA Weren't there multiple themes for that one, Solomon? Yeah it's the second theme i like. I wouldn;t mind buying the CD-LOL Skywalker 04-02-2004, 09:20 PM Mama's Family and Newhart AKA 04-02-2004, 09:44 PM Giving it some thought, I'd have to say the themes to Mr. Belvedere and Punky Brewster were both pretty good. Actually, I think both were written by Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo (the same team behind the Cheers theme), but only the Punky theme was sung by Portnoy. Terrible shows, though. I can't even remember the theme songs for Punky Brewster and Mr. Belvedere because it's been close to 20 years since I heard them. Plus neither one of these shows has been in syndication. tanquant 04-03-2004, 05:48 PM Originally posted by TVShow Analyzer I forgot to add Family Ties and Step By Step Those are my 2 favorite theme songs. I listen to them, sing along, turn the channel :) dawsongirl 04-04-2004, 12:12 AM Originally posted by BuffySlayer79 I remember loving the opening credits/theme song to Grand, yet I can't remember anything about the actual show I remember that show!!
