I just started watching the show on TVLand and I was wondering if Oliver and Lisa ever had children during the show?

Nope!

But there was a run of a few episodes late in the series (beginning with "The City Kids") in which some city kids come to spend a few days on the farm...when they return to the city, one girl (Lori) stays behind, and Oliver and Lisa decide she can stay at the farm for a few more weeks.

Of course Lisa starts referring to her immediately as "our daughter" and even talks of adopting her, and Eb experiences sibling rivalry. Some fans don't like these episodes but I think they are kind of fun. It shows other directions the show could have gone in.

The episode where Lori goes back to the city contains one of my all time favorite GA segments, where they see her off at the airport. ("Will the little girl with the gambling kit PLEASE get on board!")
