why did Mamas family went into Syndicated in the middle of the run ? I tought a show gos into Syndicated after the run?

Because NBC cancelled it and they decided to stay in production by making new episodes for first run syndication.

Of course, Mama's Family is not the only show to air on a network and find more success in syndication. Other shows that have done this include Charles in Charge, Fame, and, most notably, Baywatch.
