The ones I have done are encoded at very high quality settings from my satellite source. The quality can be described as better than VHS, but not quite DVD. For TV playback.. they can be played back on a DIVX-capable DVD player such as Polaroid DivX Certified Progressive-Scan DVD Player Model: DVP-0600 found at bestbuy.com.
