There was a news story about the taping of "Frasier's" finale on my Road Runner home page this morning (in the "Entertainment" section).....

The article noted that one of the show's creators, the late David Angell (who also co-created "Wings" and died tragically in one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center on 9/11) was remembered during the evening....his sister was in the studio audience and was introduced.

Whether you're a "Frasier" fan or not (and there are BOTH here on the message board), you almost HAVE to feel sad about the series ending because of it's "Wings" connections (both behind and in front of the camera).

Although "Frasier" doesn't have the STRONG association with "Wings" that it has with "Cheers", we all know that there IS a definite tie-in there....and in some strange way, the thought of "Frasier" ending makes it feel a little like "Wings" is ending again too! :(

I loved Frasier when it first came out, but I lost interest after Wings ended. Still, I'm a little sad to see it go. I've always loved the Dr. Frasier Crane character on Cheers. I hope Kelsey gets a new show soon, and appears as Sideshow bob on The Simpsons again. Hey, maybe Sideshow Bob can get his own show! :D

There's serious talk about Kelsey Grammer taking over the "Max Bialystok" role in the Broadway production of "The Producers"....

Of course, Steven Weber played the "sidekick" role of Leo Bloom in an earlier "Producers" production.....

What I'D love to see is Kelsey AND Steven playing their respective roles together in the SAME production! What a great teaming THAT would be!
