Diana was in the bottom 3 :eek:. She was one of the best last night! I think these teenage girls need to get over their crush on John Peter Lewis and vote for those that actually performed well.

Matt is out!

Its expected. He should have went last week in my opinion. He was clearly the least talented on there.

I cant believe Matts out. :cuss: I wasnt too fond of his performance, but Camile has been struggling since the beginning pretty much. But OMG, Matts encore of Amazed to Simon was hilarious. :rofl: That was too much.

This has to be one of the most surprising results shows ever.. i am totally surprised.. at 2 things.

1-- WHY WAS DIANA IN THE BOTTOM 3!?! She was in the top 2, if not the absolute top of last week.. aaah, im glad she was sent back though
2-- Why was Jennifer not in the bottom 3?! I thought she had the best chacne of getting cut, and i thought for sure she would land in the bottom... im kinda like "whoa" still.
3-- with Matt and Camile.. the 2 from group 2 :lol:.. im sad to see Matt go.. we know he still had so much to show us

At least when the Top 12 of 2004 go on tour, I can get to see him.

And I disagree that Matt was the least talented. I think that goes to Leah Labelle. Matt wasn't the best but I think Leah was worse.

I LOVED MATT!! Of course, I had to go ruin the whole goddamn thing for myself.

We were watching Survivor and I was like, "We're not watching a MINUTE of American Idol until it's 9" and then I was like, "Okay, let's watch it now!!" at 8:59 and it was still taping cos we have a Tivo-ish thing and I switched onto the taped part but it went onto the current part and I saw Matt's goodbye video. So I was pissed.

Diana should not have been in the bottom 3. But better her than Amy.

Jon Peter is a really good singer, and although I agree that Diana didn't deserve to be in the bottom three, that gave you know right to attack people who like Jon. I was really glad that Matt got voted off, because he really gets on my nerves...but thats just my opinion of him, other people may have liked him.

I've voted for Jon Peter Lewis a lot because I think, in my opinion, he is very talented, he has a good voice, and he has a great personality. As for Matt, I am upset that Matt (one of my favorites) got voted off but there are people here who are glad of it and I respect their opinion. After all, they excercised their right to not vote for them. To say that people are voting for a given contestant because he or she is good-looking is insane.

:nod: Yes, Ill admit I favor JPL before he even sings because I think hes cute.. hes my lil Clay of season 3, but I will say he has a good voice at that. Like Simon said, he has an 'odd' voice, but its still really good. Girls love him for his looks too, but looks will only carry you so far and talent is the main thing, and I think he has talent. Even if I think someone performed better than JPL, Im still going to vote for him because I want to keep him in the competition. Like lastnight for instance. I though La Toya was the best, and Jon Stevens was pretty good as was Amy, but I still voted for JPL 26 times. I think he did good, but it wasnt his best, but I want to see him sing next week.

As for Matt.. I have to agree with Simon.. he kicked himself off by the song he chose.

Jon has great vocal talent, but when you put people together who all have great vocal talent...there's gotta be something else to get them their votes. I mean, really, would most pop artists today have sold as many albums if they hadn't have been fairly attractive?

Jon's vocals last night were clearly weaker than the others. When someone like Diana or Amy wind up in the bottom 3 while Jon remains safe, the competition becomes a joke. This isn't a beauty pagent, and its not a popularity contest. Its a singing competition.

I mean, Leah and Camile are attractive females, but their singing is weak, so as a guy I have no problem with them being voted off.

I was fine with Matt leaving. He was definitely not one of my favorites. Though, I wouldn't mind if Camile would have been the one to leave. I also thought Diana shouldn't have been in the bottom 3, but she didn't do that song justice at ALL.

whoa-- hmm im okay with Matt leaving, although before i thought he would make it past 11th place. Im very surprised that Diana was in the bottom 3, as i thought she had one of the best performances. And also, i was surprised that Jennifer wasnt down there, because even though she did well, i just wouldve predicted her to be there.. i actually thought she had the best chance of getting eliminated.

the bubbly thing hasn't worked for her at all. a lot of people are turned off by her happy attitude. i'm not, but some people are brats like that.

:notworthy :notworthy finally, a voice of reason! John Stevens bugs me just as much as JPL. That kid has no range, no personality, and no stage presence. Sure, he has the shy personality but that doesn't cut it in show biz. I don't care if he had his best performance this week. It's not an individual competition, but a rather comparison group competition. He is light years behind everyone else and no where near ready to be a star. Talk about a waste of a space! (poor Suzy...) I can't believe that he got away with FORGETTING THE WORDS. They were ready to slaughter Clay last year for forgetting, I think, two or three words. Anybody else would have gotten hell from the judges. Imagine what Simon would say to Diana if she did that?
