I remember seeing a few parts from the show & am curious about what episode they're from. Like where Samantha was sitting on the couch with her head down crying & Nell Carter said "What's Wrong,Samantha?" and then Samantha said "I want my mommy!" And then I can't remember what Nell said after that but I remember Sam saying "even daddy wanted to do it" in the same part. Which episode was that from? Anybody know?

I'm wracking my brain trying to answer this one. It's kinda hard, as I haven't see a singled episode of GAB in 10+ years.

I can't really remember that many eppys where Sam is crying. The only ones I can think of are. The one where Sam was depressed and they were having a big storm and the neighbor came over and she had a baby in Nells bed. And the one where Sam thought that she was pregnant after kissing her friend. The one when Nells Dad died. And the eppy when Sam painted Joey's face in black face.

Does any of these eppys ring a bell?

I do remember Sam painting Joey's face black. Is that where Joey goes on the stage with his face painted and starts singing? Which episode was that from? Do you know?

The name of the eppy where Sam paints Joey face is called "Baby of the Family" that's where Sam gets mad at Nell because she won't let her go on a Camping trip where there will be boys and no adults. And Nell was showing Joey more attention the she was showing Sam, So Sam got mad and painted Joeys face black. And Nell's church was having some kinda musical that Nell was singing at. So joey wanted to sing a Al Joelson song and when Joey turned around he was in black face.

And also when Joey was on stage, didn't Nell grab him and take him off & he said "Hey what are you doing?" Didn't it happen like that?

I think he said "Aunt Nell" and he said that he just wanted to sing a song for the church and Nell asked him who painted his face and he said Sam did it.

And then didn't Nell get mad at it and shake Joey at the same time? All the parts that I've mentioned do they sound like they're in that episode?

Then Joey (with his hair al messed up) said, Aunt Nell I'm getting dizzy. One of my favorite moments from that episode.

Yeah that happened after they got home from Church.

I actually have that episode on tape, that's one of my favorite episodes. And I also like the episode when Nells dad dies and Nell goes back home for the first time in yrs.

But in your original post, I don't know if that's the episode you were talking about. Was it the episode where Joey's face was in black face or another episode when Sam was crying that you are talking about?

It's Sam's Affair, where she kisses a boy and the Cheif says if you kiss a boy You'll end up pregnant, and then she tells Nell... "This Afternoon...Scottie Wanted to Do it....So we did!....We did Sex".


Then She tells Nell that "Oh....didn't daddy say if you kiss a boy you'll end up pregnant" and Nell says "He's full of Stuffing!"

What about when she was up in her room and standing in front of her mirror. She put her baseball glove under her shirt, so she could see what she would look like pregnant.

Does anyone remember a part where Aunt Nell & Samantha got into a fight or an argument and Samantha started to cry a little bit and Aunt Nell said "Don't you start crying on me!" I remember that one. And I remember Samantha missing her mother & laying her head on the arm of the couch crying on a pillow. I wonder what episode that was from.

Can't remember the episode, but I think it was a later one. Also I think Nell's exact words were..."Don't you dare start crying on me."
