What questions about Lucy and/or Desi's lives do you want answered? I'll start:

On the night that Desi moved out for good, he pulled out a piece of paper that had, written in Lucy's handwriting, the name, address and phone number of a man that she may have been seeing or may have had a relationship with in the past (it was implied, anyway). Who was that man? Anyone we know? ;)

Exactly how close were Lucy and Desi from the time they got their divorce up until the time that she started getting serious with Gary? One book states that Desi was considering proposal of re-marriage during this time. What is the backstory behind this?

Ok, anymore questions?

Besides those two questions, I'd like to know if those stories of when Lucy was a teen, going back and forth from Jamestown to New York are true. I don't doubt anything Lucy said, but that whole time period seems a little shady and I've read a few suprising stories.

Geez if i answered your two Amber, i really would liven up this board! Maybe when it gets really quiet! I started thinking that Gary's name was the one on that piece of paper, i dunno for sure of course. I was so shocked when i first read that. But then, he had fooled around on her 1000 times, so she finally did it also. Tit for tat.;)

Well I don't beleive she cheated on him, because we all know that the love Lucy had for Desi was INTENSE. She never saw in another man what she saw in Desi, When she had seen him she quickly gave Al Hall the BO. She remarried Gary but I beleive that she Remained madly in love with Desi, Gary was merely a playmate later on.

2nd I beleive that if Lucy was seeing another man, it may have been to make Desi jealous, but I don't think there was an "Affair" involved. Lucy couldn't pull herself away from Desi like that. I would think while Desi was "Away" she may have gotten lonely and might have gone to a club or party with another man, seeiking companionship, Couldn't blame Lucy for not wanting to be alone...sometimes.

Lucy threatened to take EVERYTHING from Desi in a fit of anger because he was actually asking for a divorce, she said she had enough to HANG him, so he shows her a piece of paper with a man's name address and telephone number and tells her never to threaten him again, you really think it wasn't someone she was actually SEING? Nobody loves Lucy more than I do, but i think she finally gave him the same medecine he had given her for decades. He made her feel unwanted and they stayed together merely for business reasons, she had to prove that even in her late forties, she was still attractive to men and so she did what most other Hollywood stars do, nothing wrong with that in my book. But you're certainly correct about the second part of that, they loved each other more than anything, they just realized they couldn't stay married to one another, so they divorced, got friendlier and stayed close till the day they died!

Gary was merely a playmate later on.

Gary... Lucy's playmate? LOL!!! The only thing he played was golf while he left Lucy to play games in my opinion.

She means playmate in BED, it is said Lucy only asked that Gary keep her happy in that department, he must have, God knows he ruined her career.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

OK We will have None of that dead limp fish here!!!! LOL I am having Very Bad Mental IMAGE.

I don't want to even picture Lucy and Gary in bed together.
OK maybe Lucy and Desi later on OK. But not Gary, I just had breakfast you know.

I think Lucy kept Gary around because he made her laugh. Lucy loved to laugh. He also added routine to her life, and Lucy we all know was a creature of habit and she ruled the roost for the most part, and of course he is going to do what he is told because she is dolling out the cash and gave him a "career", and all of his fancy schmany cars and jewelry.

My thoughts, and again I am only going by speculation here, is that she still had the "hots" for Desi. IMO.

Oh yeah, definitely, even Gary admitted that! I was reading a magazine that mentionned big name stars with husbands who are in their shadow and again i think Lucy was ahead of her time, because she had the same thing back then. They mentionned Charleze Theron with that HUSBAND of hers Stuart Townsend who does B type movies and Reese Whiterspoon and her hubby who's fading fast, and Courtney Cox Arquette and others, same same situation, the women get to call the shots as they are the superstars and control the money.

Add Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner to that list as well.

I saw that movie about her life on TV. Excellent!!! ( unless you are a die hard Natalie Wood fan, in which case I am sure those fans found many a flaw in the film like I did in the REDHEAD movie) Definitely fits that profile.

So, was Natalie having an affair with her then co star Chritopher Walken? Or was it the scenerio i heard that it was Robert Wagner and Chris who were having the affair? Ah Hollywood, always keeps us on our toes with their behavior, LOL!

I thought Gary and Lucy met on a blind date AFTER the Desi-Lucy divorce. I don't think it was Gary's name/address/phone number that was on that piece of paper. It must have been a hum-dinger though to have made Desi say what he said about not threstehing him again.
You know----when they fought she called him some nasty names....She could not call him a spic---or wet back today without some backlash.

Exactly, it was a different time, even Lucy's mom called Gary and Desi worse names. That's the thing, we are TOLD they met on a blind date, maybe it had all started before, or maybe it was Red Buttons name on there, LOL! I couldn't believe those two REDS ever got together.
