I don't have the Season 1 DVD. However, it appears that the versions of Green Acres of TV LAND are only minimaly edited down. The show sometimes starts a minute before the hour or half-hour and ends with about 2-3 minutes to go before the full hour or half hour. I am not a time expert, but there appear to be about 4 commercials at seven minutes after the start , and another 4 commercials at about 20 minutes into the show. Green Acres fans might only be missing about a minute (or less) of actual program time. It appears that the shows are comming in around 24 minutes and 30 seconds, which isn't bad at all!

Has anyone timed the TV Land Season 1 episodes to the DVD's of Season 1? What do you think?

From taping some shows off TVland, I've found them to run about 22 minutes, so I would guess that there's probably about 3 minutes missing from each episode. That's a lot considering the shows are only a little over 25 minutes long. I'm really glad for TVland but I wish they'd show the episodes uncut, especially since they claim to be "preserving our tv heritage."
