I thought all around that the 2003 shows were better.
John Ritter was a better host.
The themesong-montage in the beginning was definately better....
and more categories were shown.

I agree. I enjoyed the first TV Land Awards show much better. John Ritter, IMO, was the better host.

I think the problem is that the show isn't tightly done. Danny Devito's piece when on for 3-5 minutes and I didn't think it was so funny. Patty Duke and Linda Carter had the best speeches, but that is not saying much. Farrah Fawett did well too. But the show has too much filler space and they put in people or sections that go on too long. ONe thing they should do is show the winners. You only get to see the star of the show. It would have been nice to see all the on stage faces of the Andy Griffith Show. It would have been nice to get look at the singing Cowsills.

2003.

John Ritter was funnier (Although I liked Brad Garrett), the opening with the theme songs was better in 2003 (it was really weak this year). However, I liked that "Chico and the Man" was honored in the 2004 awards show. More people I voted for won this year. I still say 2003, but now that I think about it, 2004 was pretty good, too. I wonder who will host next year.

I actually perfered the 2004 Tv Land awards, I thought it was more entertaining than the one last year..The only thing I disliked about 2004 is the new host Brad Garrett...
