View Full Version : How should the King of Queens end? ( Series Finale Prediction )

This is how I think the series should end. The Gang ( Doug, Carrie, Deacon, Kelly, Danny, Spence ) opens a sandwich shop, which Doug suggest to everyone. It's his dream( Doug discusses his idea to Carrie in "Meet By-Product"). They contribute financially to open their own sandwich shop.
Doug and Deacon basically handle the inventory , and they
deliver food. ( their IPS experience). Carrie and Kelly are
cashier, and they handle the books and legal stuff. ( their
job experiences). Danny and Spence are the cook ( their
job experiences). Doug and Carrie help caring of Palmer
kids when their parents are working. Danny and Spence
help too.

During season 7 arthur will be diagnosed with Cancer, & carrie will announce she's pregnant. the whole season goes on witht hese two themes. Then on the season finale arthur dies and carrie gives birth:eek:

I don't want to think about a series finale right now, but that sounds just a bit too dramatic.

It almost seems like a given that the show can't end until Doug and Carrie are finally successful at bringing a child into the world.

Yeah, I might like a series finale where she gives birth, but I wouldn't want Arthur to die.

I want them to have a kid. You know they want one!
The sandwich shop idea is a tad weird I think. It would be to much togetherness for all of them.

If they have a kid, they need to have it for a season or two because Doug and Carrie with a kid can bring up many new storylines. On the other hand adding a kid would kill the show, just like with Mad About You

Yeah, I think it would. I don't think it's a good idea for them to have a kid, unless it happens on a series finale.

I think they could add a kid without killing the show if they did it very carefully. It would add ideas for stories like was mentioned before but they could maybe not even have the kid in every show like on Friends with Rachel's baby. Thats what I think they should do.

How about ending the series with a double wedding. Arthur could marry Spence's mother and Spence could get married too. Doug and Carrie could be best man and maid of honor for both.

That actually sounds pretty good. I wouldn't mind that being the finale.

I don't think the pilot and the series finale will be any different from eachother. I mean, just look at this season, is there any difference at all (besides Carrie losing her job) between the show now and then?

You're right, that goes with the thread about the show having lack of character development, they need to shake things upo more next season to keep things fresh.

Shutty!

I have to agree.

If the show ends, it'll end without any real closure or drastic events happening to any of the main characters.

It's just the way the show is--- simplistic, linear and just goes for the joke.

ok. my idea was stupid, because i wasn't aware of episode "Hero Worship".

I'd assume the last episode would be something like Seinfeld's last episode. Meaning just another epsiode. No closure to anything.

Well hopefully the last episode won't be for a long, long time. Like somewhere around the year 2010!!

The finale should resemble the finale of long lasting NBC's Just Shoot Me!

For some reason I just see this show ending with a funeral.

It'll probably end with Arthur dying and the birth of a baby boy which they'll name after him.

I'd rather not see a death or funeral in the series finale. If they do kill Arthur off, the episode could end up being too dramatic. They should finish the series with the couple having a baby...they've been building up that story since the first season.
