1975. Cleveland Amory said
"Jeffersons is not good, pretty good, or even fairly good. At best it is not bad".
8 weeks after this comment, Jeffersons finished the 74-75 season as the 4th ranked show in the Country. Boy was he wrong.

It's just a matter of opinion. Many times critics don't like t.v. shows and, yet, those shows still become hits.
Oh, and sitcom analyzer, I figure I'll ask you this while I'm here. I've been doing some research lately because I'm writing a paper for one of my classes on classic t.v. The question does pertain to this board.
Do you have any idea what Mike Evans is doing today? I was trying to do an update section for my paper and I can't find anything on the guy's whereabouts.
any help would be appreciated, man. thanx.

No sorry i don't have info on Mike Evans now. I don't think there was ever a True Hollywood Story for the Jeffersons. BTW, what is the name of this course that you are taking?

Thanks for responding so fast. The class is called broadcast/cable programming. It basically is about what goes on behind the scenes like what pilots get chosen and why and why the news only broadcasts certain stories. We could write about anything for our mid-term paper and i decided classic tv of the 1970's was a good topic considering how many of the shows broke new ground and all.
Oh, I've never seen the All in the Family THS on E! Do they mention Mike Evans at all? Thanks again, man.

if you have any other questions about the Jeffersons feel free to ask. I have several TV guides and magazines from the 1970's about the Jeffersons.
