What is everyones Opinions on Flash? I Thought he was a very Likeable character, I Wish they had kept him a little longer.

Actually, I was always annoyed by Flash. I don't know if they were intending on keeping him on the show. I guess they just put him in a few episodes as an extra character since Cody wasn't around. They needed someone to fill the empty space. I prefered Jean Luc.

I noticed that Cody had left the show when there was about 5 episodes left in the 5th Season. Flash appeared in the last 3 episodes, and JT's friend Rich became a full time charachter at the start of those last 5 episodes. I think the writers needed a replacement for Cody and ended up bringing 2 charachters in to replace him. There are a few storylines that I believe were originally written for Cody. Like the episode when Rich gives everyone Chain letters, that was the first episode without Cody, and I think that storyline was originally supposed to be for him. And I know for a fact that the Disney World episode with Flash was originally written for Cody. Also in the Season 5 finale (The episode where Frank puts a Bar in his basement with the mechanical Bull) Flash moves in with the Lamberts. But he was gone at the start of Season 6 and never mentioned again. So obviously the writers had plans on making him a regular, but had second thoughts, either that or the actor who played Flash had second thoughts. We may never know.

I actually liked Flash, although he was not as likable and entertaining as Cody. However, I preferred the flash character over Jean Luc, I have been watching re-runs of Step by Step but started tuning out when they showed the Jean Luc and Rich episodes. I am finding the later seasons are not that entertaining. The whole Dana and Rich thing does not seem right.

Flash was the guy that Carol had hired as a favor to somebody to work for Frank. He had tons of energy and couldn't stop moving. He'd act on impulse a lot and trashed a house Frank was doing, but Flash never needed any sleep. So overnight he redid the destruction and made it look nice.

In another episode he moves in with the family while his apartment is being fumigated, I believe the episode w/ the basement 'man room' and mechanical bull.

He goes to Disney World (albeit seperately) and joins the folks and decided to break the record of a Russian dude for riding every ride, going to all souvenir stands and restaurants/snack carts and 'brings the title home to America'.

He's only in a handful of episodes, but he's a pretty funny guy.
