And unlike Sitcom Analyzer's thread, you can name more than two sitcoms. :D Heck, you can even name shows that aren't sitcoms.

I get criticized quite a bit for not liking Friends and Seinfeld. I just don't find either show funny.

I also couldn't stand that ABC drama, Once & Again. I had a co-worker who would go on and on about that show and would insult any of us who said we didn't like it. I don't care for dramas too much in general. When I sit down to relax and watch TV, I want to watch something funny and uplifting.

crapfest is a great word.

I don't like ER or West Wing.
Actually can't stand West Wing.

As far as sitcoms go, there is no show that is so great it is beyond scrutiny or dislike.

I get alot of crap from family members because I don't watch any of the reality shows, particularly "Survivor" and "Apprentice."

Sorry, I just can't do it.

First off, I do not enjoy any reality programming.

I also do not enjoy any current dramas aside from the brilliant "Star Trek: Enterprise." So, yes, I do get critized for not like The Sopranos, Desperate Housewives, Lost, Alias, CSI, Law & Order, and others.

I also do not like Friends. Or Will & Grace. Or Sex & The City. Or any other current sitcoms.

To a lesser degree, I only like one show on Nickelodeon (Spongebob), and that means I don't like Fairly Odd Parents or Drake & Josh. I also do not like Ed, Edd, and Eddy. And, I don't like Family Guy either.

I also do not enjoy American Football, and could really care less about American basketball. I prefer the Olympic sports, like Tennis, Badminton, Bobsledding, Curling, Beach Volleyball, and others.

I'm probably the only person on the face of the earth that finds Boston Legal more appealing than Desperate Housewives and Lost COMBINED. :)

Boston Legal is Ally McBeal-lite

I got criticized on these boards for not liking Desperate Housewives. I think it is soapy crap. IMO I also can't get into Arrested Development.

The "Arrested Development" cult is insufferable. Admitting to not liking that heap of dung will usually get you some variation of, "You don't like it because you're too stupid to understand it." Generally followed by the gist of, "Why don't you go watch something dumb your tiny brain can handle, like [fill in the blank show the 'AD' fanatic perceives as dumber than their sacred cow]?" OK! I will! Thanks!

it's not that you dislike it, it's because you're all "they should cancel it because I don't like it", instead of accepting the fact there are those that do, and to be the bigger person and watch something else around that time instead.

The difference with you and AD and me and Everybody Loves Raymond is that I >>accept<< the fact there are people who do like the show, and I'll just opt to watch something else at 9 pm on Monday's. So while my personal opinion is "good riddance" that the show is ending, I understand the fact that there's a lot of people who are going to miss the weekly antics of the Barone family. If you acted that way towards AD, you wouldn't have to be put up to such a defensive.

Seinfeld

well, not liking Seinfeld is one thing, but WORST SITCOM EVER? Seriously, worse than My Mother The Car or Meego?

Meego sucked. It followed Family Matters for a few months after it moved to CBS during it's last season.

I'm afraid that if I tell someone I've never seen Friends that I'll be criticized.

All in the Family I just don't find that show funny. It's not based on the whole racism subject I just don't think it is funny. Also MASH I never saw the interest everyone else seemed to have in it.

Never seen it?? Thats different than not liking it.

(and well, not seeing Friends is tough to do -- it airs all the time)

I rest my case.

you rest your case? I rest MY case, because it's true. If AD was getting 25 million viewers a week like your fave show American Idol, you'd be singing it's praises

FRIENDS I have only seen a couple of minutes of one episode in my whole life but it was more than enough to know I would never like it.

How can you NOT like FRIENDS my friends and family would cry.

All the crappy NBC comedies. And reality TV.

Okay, I have to admit, I like The Amazing Race. I'm gonna watch this whole edition. And yes, it was because of Rob and Amber.

Everybody Loves Raymond, I HATE it. Good riddance. But.. I do realize a lot of people out there are going to be upset when it ends in 2 months.

Malcolm In The Middle - mostly because I can't stand the mother (nothing against Jane Katzmarek personally, just the character she plays)

All In The Family - it's a classic show and all, but I dislike the show because of the way some people make Archie out to be a role model, when he was meant to be a satire, but some people really take him seriously and adore him.

Will And Grace - it has the occasional joke, but I have never been crazy about the show.

Cheers - I do like the show, but it's pretty far down on my "must get on DVD" list, I would eventually like to get at least the Shelley Long years though. I don't dislike it, would probably rank it in my low teens or twenties in terms of favorite shows, but compared to how I have so many friends who consider it the greatest show of all time, I could fit it here.

Friends is now one of my favorite shows, and I watch more dramas currently than sitcoms. One Tree Hill is still crap though.

I personally don't care for too many of the newer sitcoms on these days, the older ones were better IMHO. I get criticized for that all the time by my kids. About the only one I watch and that isn't all the time is the George Lopez show.

I am more of a crime drama junkie.

And I get criticized all the time for not liking the reality based shows. When I watch TV it is to escape reality.

I have been criticized for not liking these shows...

Any Reality Show (Except The Apprentice Endings, I love to hear Donald tell someone that there fired, since all those idiots think there sh*t dont stink)
Desperate Housewives
Seinfeld
Sex and The City
The Cosby Show or and Cosby Sitcom
8 Simple Rules
Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Most shows on UPN
Joey (Mostly criticized cause I liked Friends)

I have also been criticized cause I have never seen shows like the OC, Boston Legal, Lost, etc... most shows that are new (2002 and on).

On the other hand I have been criticized for liking shows that I guess are not top rated in some peoples opinion.

I think you get criticized alot for not liking these shows (I like alot of these shows, but after visiting this thread, I can remember bagging a family member or friend because they didn't like it  ):

Friends

Arrested Developement

The OC (THIS is the one I don't like, and I get bagged by some of my friends for it)

Reality shows (I just don't get the point of them  )

Desperate Housewives (I can remember me, my friend and my friends mum all criticizing my mum 'coz she didn't watch it. :p )

LOST (I get criticized by my friends for refusing ever to watch this show [mainly just refusing out of spite :D ])

Also I used to get criticized alot for not watching "Neighbours" or "Home and Away", but their not really popular anymore. Score 1 for me ;) .
