WWE superstar Ron "Farooq" Simmons was released from the company today. This word comes just hours before tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown!

A segment was apparently taped on Tuesday at the SmackDown! tapings where Farooq was fired from the show.

It's about time they got rid of excess baggage.
