Jinny was just so shocked about what her and Magda has just heard.
"Baby?" Jinny asked again like she might have misheard him or something.
"Yes, Mrs. Exstead you are going to have a baby." the doctor told her.
"Jinny did you know anything about this?" Magda asked?
"Obviously not. I'm just as shocked as you!" Jinny replied.
"OMG, Mag, what am I going to do?" Jinny asked.
"I don't know Jinny. Whose do you think it is? Jack's?" Magda asked curiously.
"I don't...I don't know Mag. I guess it could be. I'm not sure." Jinny said.
"What are you going to tell Hank and Jack? How will you know? What are you going to do if it is Jack's now that you two got divoced?"
"Mag, I don't know. How am I going to figure out if it's Jack or Hank's baby?"
"We can run a DNA test if you would like. We would need a sample of one of the "father's" DNA," the doctor told Jinny.
"No problem, but how am I going to get a sample DNA without telling Hank why?" Jinny asked Magda.
"I know that you weren't talking to me," the doctor inturrupted, "but just get a strand of hair, and we can test it to see if he's a match."
"If not, Jin, Jack's the father. You know that right?" Magda asked her best friend waiting for a reply.
-Long Pause-
"I know Mag. I don't know what I will do if Jack turns out to be the father. It's not that I don't think that he will make a good father, but we had our chance, and it didn't work out. My addiction went from alcohol to drugs, and i know you two saved my life, but I don't think I'm ready to go back to Jack. I'm afraid of what will happen if I do."
"Jinny, it's going to be ok." Magda said trying to comfort her.
"How do you know that Mag? You know I was fine and recovering well until I married Jack. He wasn't enough to make me want to get up in the morning...I can't go back to him Mag. What if I start drinking again? I'm really afraid of what will happen if I go back with Jack."
Cell phone rings. The doctor leaves.
"Exstead. Hi Hank. What's up?"
"I was worried. I tryed calling you at home and you didn't answer," Hank told her happy that he finally found her and she was ok. "Yeah sorry Hank. I'm with Magda. Yeah we're still at work," Jinny told him hoping that he believed her.
"Oh ok, well I just wanted to make sure that you were ok," Hank told Jinny. "Call me after you leave."
"Ok. I will. Ok, bye." Jinny hung up the phone and started to cry.
"Why didn't you tell him, Jin?" Magda asked.
"I'm afraid Mag. What if he leaves me becasue he doesn't want a baby?" Jinny asked.
Doctor enters the room.
"Well the DNA test shows that Hank is NOT the father of your unborn child," the doctor showed the results to Jinny.
The doctor leaves.
"OMG Mag, what am I going to do? What am I going to tell Hank?"
Cell phone rings again.
"Exstead."
"Hey Jinny, things seemed tense before I left, and I wanted to make sure that you were ok." Jack's voice was so clear Jinny fell to her knees and Magda noticed.
"What's wrong Jinny?" Magda whispered.
"I'm fine, but I'm really busy I got to go. I'll tlak to you later. Bye." Jinny hung up the phone and looked at Mag. "That was Jack." Jinny passed out.
"Jinny? Jinny!?!" Magda screamed for a doctor, and Jonah camed in to help Jinny. "She'll be fine," Jonah told her and left.
"Where am I?" Jinny asked, " Who are you?"
"Jinny, it's me Magda. You know me Jinny. How are you feeling?" Magda sounded worried.
"Oh yeah sorry Mag. I'm just really confused. When I was sleeping I dreampt that you shot me."
"OMG Jin, I would never!"
"Mag, can you tell Jack that he's the father for me? Tell him that I'm too sick to use the phone." Jinny begged.
"Sure Jin, anything for you." She got out her phone and dialed Jack's number and waited for him to answer and then said, "Hey Jack, it's Magda. No she is....not injuried. She wanted me to tell you that you are going to be a dad. She is pregnant with your baby. SHe is sick in the hospital which is why she didn't tell you herself." She hung up and told Jinny what he said. "He's going to be here in an hour."
About an hour later, Jack walks in and is followed by Hank. They both went in her room and just looked at her.
"Jinny, I called you at work, and they told me you were still here. What happened?" Hank asked her.
"Jin, sorry, it took me so long, but I came as soon as Mag called me. Does he know?" Jack asked curiosuly.
"Know what?" Hank wanted to know.
"Jack can you wait outside? I need to talkt o Hank. I'll call you back in then."
Jack left the room and went out into the hall. Hank knew something was wrong.
"Hank, I don't know how you're going to take this," she got really serious, "but I guess I better just tell you....I'm pre...pre...pregnant."
"Jinny that's great!" Hank said. "I'm giong to be a daddy!"
"Actually, Jack's the father."
"Oh well, that explains why he's here. So is that it for us? We're done?" Hank asked.
"Well, I think I should get back together with Jack, so we can raise our child together. Because he deserves to be able to help raise it."
"Ok, well, bye Jinny. If things don't work out, call me." Hank told her and he kissed her and left. Jack walked in.
"What was that about? He called me an ass as he left. What's going on Jin?"
"I just broke up with Hank so that we could get back together to raise our baby together, after all you are the father."
By now, Jack started to cry. "I can't believe I'm going to be a daddy!" Jack just stated with disbelief.
The doctor walks in. "Well, we have determined the sex of your babies, would you liek to know?" The doctor asked Jinny and Jack and they just both looked at each other. "Sure," Jinny said and jack agreed. "It's going to be a girl and a boy."
"Wait! Two babies?" Jinny asked.
"Yes, twins." said the doctor. "Congradulations."
"Twins? Wow, Jin, you're going to have your hands full." Magda chimmed in.
"Jack I don't want to quit my job. I can't give it up. This is my life." Jinny said.
"It's ok. Jin, I'll quit my job. I'll raise the kids." Jack insisted.
"Thanks Jack. Well I guess we better start thinking of some names. How about Hallie Marie for the little girl?"
"I love it. Can I choose the boy's name?"
"As long as you don't make it a junior."
"I wouldn't do that. What about Skyler Hunter?"
"I love it. Hallie Marie and Skyler Hunter. What do you think Mag?"
"Sounds great!" Mag said.
-7 months later-
Seven months went by Jinny and Jack had gotten back togehter, but weren't married yet, but were close to it. Jinny kept going to work even after the doctor said that she sould take it easy. Then one day something happened that would forever change their lives. While Jinny was at work one day on a case, she would forever wished she stayed home. Jinny was working on this one case that involved a car chase. She had to follow him, it was her job. Magda was in the car right next to her's. Magda was worried about Jinny beacuse she didn't feel that Jinny should still be at work, especially on a high speed chase. But then the car slammed on his brakes and Jinny didn't see it in time and her car went flying into his.
-BAM!!!-
Jinny hit head first into the suspect's car and Magda stopped her car as fast as she could and ran out of her car to help her best friend as fast as she could. By the time that Magda reached Jinny's car, she saw that she was unconcious. Magda called an ambulance and they were there mintues later.
At the hospital...
Magda called Jack and the Captain. She knew that they would want to be there. Especially Jack because he was ehr boyfriend and the father of the unborn twins.
"Ms. Exstead is critical. We have to deliver the twins so that they have a chance to survive."
"Do what you have to." Jack said.
The next day.....
"Magda?" Jinny asked bearly.
"OMG Jinny! You're awake. I'm so happy. Let me get Jack and your babies." Magda told her.
Minutes later Jack walked in with Hallie and Skyler.
"Jinny you're awake," he walked over and handed Hallie to Jinny.
"OMG Jack, I'm a mom!"
