Or is it a TV movie? I'm trying to figure out if the finale will show up on the season eleven DVD set (still two years or so away) or if it will get its own release.

I think it will probably get it's own seperate release on DVD.

Hopefully they will include some behind the scenes footage about the filming of the finale, and maybe some of the news stories covering the show. It was quite a big news event, from what I remember.

I'd love to see something like that. I'd also like to see the two "official" retrospective specials (Memories Of M*A*S*H and the 30th anniversary reunion) released.

I hope they don't release GF&A as a separate release. I don't know but it seems to me as if it was PART of the season. I hope they place it on the third disc and then have special features attached to it. A commentary by director/actor/writer Alan Alda would be cool. He can talk about his role as Hawkeye and then maybe even talk about some of the decisions they made for the last episode.

I'd be furious that on the DVD releases they put no blooper/outtakes of MASH but I already have many of them on videotape anyway.

I'd also like to see them release the 1980 PBS speial called "Making MASH" on DVD.
