Guys,

We have a new DVD player and the thing that bugs me is that on some of the older disk releases (say, DVD's that came out 4 years ago or more) I can not press the Disk Menu button to active the DVD main menu! All the new disks that came out say 2001 or more the DVD menu button works fine, but if I have an older disk and hit that button and inhibit sign comes up which says..."This feature is not avaliable on this disk." You would think that these disks would have some kind of universal code so that when you hit "DVD Menu" on your remote the menu comes up so that you can access a disks's special features. I have noticed that 3 of the disks that I have now have updated versions. This is something that they should have done on the first releases. Do you have any disks that are like this? I now know why I was able to get this DVD at Best Buy for $10! LOL!

In other words, I can only see the Main menu when I first load the older disks or have to quick search through all of the chapters to get to the main menu if I want to change something. That sucks!

I've had DVD players since 1999 and have rarely encountered problems with the menu button.
