Drake Sather, who wrote for NewsRadio, committed suicide Wednesday. He was separated from his wife and four kids. He was 44 year old.

He wrote the following episodes:

"Led Zeppelin II"
"Awards Show"
"Christmas"
"Airport"
"French Diplomacy"
"Copy Machine"
"Stinkbutt"

It's a shame.:(

He was a great writer, and he will be missed. But his brilliance lives on in the episodes that he wrote, for we have them to watch forever. God rest his soul...

oh man.. that is really bad.. he also created the character of Derek Zoolander for the Ben Stiller movie.. that sucks
the weird thing is that the last show of newsradio i saw before reding this was "copy machine"

This is really sad. He was a great writer. And he also appeared in the episode "Sleeping" as Jimmy's lawyer.
