Dear friends,



Thank you all so much for your prayers and encouragement over these last few weeks. I have felt your support and it has meant the world to me.



I also wanted to give you a quick heads-up. The 2004 TV Land Awards will be airing this Wednesday night, March 17th. (Check local cable listings for times and channel.) Charlotte Rae and I sang a verse of “The Facts of Life” theme song in the opening production number. Overall, it was a very fun night, especially because I got to bring my children and they loved seeing all of their favorite “old” stars.



Hopefully the show will bring back fond memories for you as well.

you're a lifesaver. That's great! I missed the first few minutes...I forgot (again) to set my VCR and was at church for the first ten ish minutes. I walked in to see Charro "upsetting the Facts of Life table"...

Well, when Lisa and Charlotte came out to sing a few bars from the FOL theme...well...let's just leave it at this: :eek: Talk about an ovation.

Wasn't that GREAT?! I loved the FOL theme...and the Sex in the City spoof was fun!!!

I was cracking up at the "sex in the city" . I could not pick on it int he first place. I was looking at the "Bea Authur" credit and then I realized what was going on. I was laughing my head off. Remember the Metafiber Bea was putting in her drink? And remember the when she shot the bird at the bus that splashed water on her?

I watched the first 10 minutes. What awards did the facts of life win?

It was soo Nice to see Lisa Whelchel(Blair) looking very Lovely as Always, & Charlotte Rae(Mrs. Garrett) together again to sing The Facts of Life theme song!!!!:D

Made me Wonder why Cloris Leachman(Beverlu) & Machenzie Astin(Andy) didn't join Lisa & Charlotte up stage? :rolleyes:

well i guess since they had mrs g there was no need for beverly anne. she was there for mary tyler moore anyway. i dont know what was up with mackenzie astin. he didnt do anything but sit there. i guess hes still cool for his support.

I think Mackenzie Astin was there for his mom, Patty Duke, instead of FOL.:)

I think Lisa was, at one point, more speaking it than singing it...just for a moment...*shrugs* but she still sounded great!!


As for Charlotte, well, we know what I think of Charlotte...she was glorious, as always.

Speaking of singing theme songs, what did you think of Cybil Sheperd singing the Moonlighting theme.? I didn't think much of it and felt she best stick to playing Martha Stewart. Maybe another movie could be in the works.
I did think also that Mackensie Astin could have appeared with Charlotte and Lisa. I forgot about Cloris but I don't think Charlotte and Cloris were jolly buddies

It was not Cybil's best performance. I have heard her sing before and she is really good.

Charlotte and Cloris went to college together...they shared an apartment!!! They were great friends!
