Finally the mail station here sent me the confirmation that this fraud got my money in November. I already knew he ripp people off cause I got a hint. I confronted him back in beginning December and he just lied and claimed he didn't get my money - well again now the confirmation through the post office: without a doubt he did. If I'd have only known it earlier, also he contacted me claiming he/she had all the episodes of General Hospital I need. He/she speaks also german as well, the email address I know is wdsm42@yahoo.com
please beware and never send any money to Poland! You'll only loose your money!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience... I think I heard of this guy and I personally do NOT trade outside of the U.S., not even Canada. LOL just a personal preference...thanks for the warning nonetheless, and hope you're made whole again soon. ;)

ML21 is from out of the country. :D Most of my trading is with folks from out of the country, and I've found the majority of them to be wonderful people to trade with. They tend to be far more appreciative and responsive because they don't live in the land of the free anymore, and I can certainly understand their strong cravings to get American television, especially the really old classics that they grew up with.

Sending money out of the country is one thing, trading with them is another. As long as they send first there really is little risk on your part.

By the way, if you do a check on the word "Poland" on this board, you'll find information on Remigio Rozzga. Here's one: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81677&highlight=poland

And here's a listing of information one of Rozzga's victims sent me awhile ago:

DO NOT send money to a person in Poland who tells you "they have EXACTLY the TV series/soap (especially TELENOVELAS) you need." They say they are American, now living in Poland, post on TONS of TV/soap tape sites and request their money via Western Union. After they get your money, they tell you that the money you wired was stolen so they ask for more and/or they say the tapes were returned "undeliverable," so they ask for more money. Then they promise to pay you back - this never happens. They also have threatened me that their U.S. friends will "ruin me" if these posts don't stop. This person has taken a great deal of money from me and other individuals in the U.S. and Australia.

Ask LOTs of questions before dealing with ANYONE. Due to my posts, other victims are contacting me - so this person is still scamming (as of 2/09/04).

I received some emails last year from this guy. He claimed he has all of the episodes from the series I was looking for. He wanted me to send cash through Western Union. I told him I was uncomfortable doing that and if he has a confirmed Paypal account, I'd send him money that way. He said he didn't have paypal and "assured" me he is "honest". Then I found an escrow service online and told him if he would register with them, I'd send them the money and he could send the dvds. He said - "can't register with them because he didn't have a DHL shipping service near him". I checked and - yes, he did. He became very insistant to the point of being angry and also kind of begging - then I did a search on google and wouldn't you know it - I found some negative stuff about him. I cut and paste what I found in an email to him and haven't heard from him since.

I have since learned their are plenty of scammers who use Paypal to pay for stuff. They file a claim with paypal stating they never received the goods they paid for and then paypal refunds their money. I suppose if you can't trust the person - the safest way to conduct a transaction is through a reputable escrow service.

As far as conducting trades with people overseas goes - I cannot say anyone is dishonest just because they live overseas. I've been screwed tooooo many times by Americans to think I'm safer sticking to trades within the U.S.!
