None of my family members or friends like either of these shows.

The Monkees - Most people my age (22) think the Monkees are dorks. But I find them funny, and I like their music.

Saved by the Bell: The New Class - It's not something I go around admitting to liking, but my sister knows I like it and she can't stand it. Naturally, she has to make fun of me.

8 Simple Rules - Well, sort of. My sister makes fun of the show (even last season), so I never told her I watch, and like it.

Now my younger sister makes fun of me for watching just about every show I watch. She just doesn't get any of them. She's into reality shows, and knows that I hate reality shows with a passion.

basically about anything.

My oldest brother thinks Im a dork because I buy TV shows on DVD.... my younger brother couldnt care less.... and my other older brother cant say anything because he has "The Simpsons" on DVD.

But about any specific show.... not really.
Sure, maybe I like "Cheers" a little too much.
But its no worse than someone liking a sports team a lot.




although Im not ashamed at all for anything I watch.
I like it.... and if it bugs you.... who cares? not me.

Frasier - has been said its for nerds

Basically any Nuclear Family sitcoms from the 50s - for being in B&W or being unrealistic

But, I've never given in to any kind of peer pressure thankfully, whether it was to get drunk or to watch what was "popular." (Try being an outspoken opponent of Friends and reality TV at a high school--quite interesting!)

On a side note, I've been critized much worse for liking Star Trek, Pokemon, and Power Rangers and being almost 19.

Everything I watch. :lol:

And I just thought of another show, Chico and the Man. Both of my sisters (mainly my younger sister) criticize me for watching (and having every episode on tape) it.

I totally overlooked the "Name 2 Sitcoms". I'm glad no one busted me on that one. ;)

I hear ya on both subjects.
Lots of people in my school are ignorant and think that "Frasier" is for nerds.... but when I ask they why they think "Friends" is any better all they come back with "its more popular".

Although I do like some reality TV (Survivor and The Amazing Race).... I hate that GOOD sitcoms dont air when CRAPPY reality shows do.
I think Reality TV is a great addition.... but its all been done before.
And it only gets WORSE and WORSE.


And I hate the word "popular".... especially when people SAY they're popular.

Cheers. A lot of people think it's extremely weird that a 13 year old girl is obsessive over an old tv show from the 80s. Especially my sister.. she tells me everyday not to tell anyone how much I'm into Cheers or I'll become more of a social reject. :lol: I don't care if people think I'm weird, anyways.

Happy Days - Everyone in School made fun of me for liking Happy Days so much.

Lizzie Mcguire - I Recently gave this show a chance and started liking it. Even though Its made for Young Teenage Girls, I Think its prety cool. Basically everyone From my Mom to my best Friend make fun of me for that now. :lol:

And that's one show I Don't get criticized for liking. Both my sisters like "Wings". And that's one of the few all three of us like and watch together.

Oh, and although I wouldn't say I was criticized for liking this show, whenever I tell people I like "Boy Meets World" they tend to laugh at me.

Thanks for the backup :D I agree, Boy Meets World forever :D Wings gets such a bum rap with alot of people, I wonder if half the people that criticize it, have actually sat down and watched it? :confused:

As a Seinfeld fan.... I do agree that its mean-spirited --- but once in a while -- its fun to be mean.

But I disagree about Cheers.... its in every way JUST like Wings.... only different.

It's a guilty pleasure, I have the entire last season on Tape and I watch it every chance I get.

I get criticized more for NOT liking certain shows, especially Friends, The X-Files, Gilmore Girls, Seinfeld, and Once & Again. Those shows just do not interest me.

People do look at me funny sometimes because I like Wings better than Cheers. I love both shows, but if I had to choose, I'd pick Wings in a heartbeat. Cheers can be pretty mean-spirited at times.

I have been criticized for watching Roseanne. But I don't care!:happyface

Theres an eclectic bunch.
Besides Seinfeld.... I hate all those shows.

I get criticized for liking Frasier more than Friends.
But theres a few people at my school who would agree with me completely.

Frasier's gotten NOTHING in terms of advertising for the finale.
And in some ways its nicer.
It proves that a good (SUPERIOR) quality show can still air and doesn't need to be the pop-culture-whore we know as Friends.
