View Full Version : Janet's boob and Damita Jo album vashti1999 03-15-2004, 03:40 PM How does Janet's Super Bowl breast-baring incident affect your consideration in buying her album? Does it have any influence in whether or not you buy it? Dean Winchester 03-15-2004, 03:46 PM none of the above, I want to hear the entire cd before buying it. I have been a Janet fan since Control, but All For You was so bad and neither single so far has impressed me that I will hear the whole cd first before deciding if it's worth my purchase or not vashti1999 03-15-2004, 04:23 PM I agree All For You was not a shining moment for Janet. That song with Carly Simon was terrible, the only one I really liked was "Trust A Try". But Janet is one of those artists I stay loyal to and buy all their albums, so it's almost mandatory I get Damita Jo. I was that way with Madonna up till "American Life." ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 03-15-2004, 05:00 PM Wasnt going to buy it regardless. *Marilyn Monroe* 03-15-2004, 08:19 PM Originally posted by ¤MsConanOBrien¤ Wasnt going to buy it regardless. Me either. tvje 03-16-2004, 03:29 PM I think we all can agree weather you a Janet fan or not, that the Superbowl incident did not change your mind weather you are going to buy the album or not. I am going to buy the album reguardless. But if 20 years of making great music is not enough, and took a boob to make you want to buy her album, then you have a problem. Or if you have been a Janet fan, and showing her boob at the Superbowl for a split second, made you abant her as a fan, then you have a problem. If I am Janet, any fan I would gain or lose by this one incident, I don't want as a fan. SBTB Geek 03-16-2004, 11:38 PM I don't think this album is going to sell. Dean Winchester 03-17-2004, 12:29 AM Originally posted by SBTB Geek I don't think this album is going to sell. I think she'll have a decent first week, but I would be surprised if the album does significantly better than Whitney or Madonna's last ones. It seems like EVERY major female artist who has been around at least a decade has been bombing lately. Celine's One Heart certainly wasn't a flop, but even that sold well below expectations. *Nancy Mckeon* 03-19-2004, 08:00 PM Originally posted by ¤MsConanOBrien¤ Wasnt going to buy it regardless.
