Well its history, Benoit is the new Raw Champ, Donald Trump makes his first WWE appearance since 1989, and Paul Bearer is back after 4 years, Trish turns Heel for the first time in 3 years, Molly Holly gets shaved bald.
Thoughts???

WMXX will go down in the books as, if nothing else, the most bizarre WM ever.
Mean Gene Okerlund and a Now-Recovered-from-Throat-Cancer Bobby the Brain Heenan in the back getting up close with Moolah and Mae Young. I feel sorry for the four of 'em, if this is the best way they can use 4 legends like that.
The Rock still seems, uh, out of it. "The buffet is closed.” Rock says "the Hamburglar and Grimace know it (Hurricane & Rosey), Snuka and Muraco know it, and the people know it."". Oookkk. I know some of Rock's promos tend to get a bit left-of-center, but, this was insane.
Foley actually looked genuinely P***ed after the loss in the Rock & Sock vs. Evolution Match. I dunno, something dosen't seem right there
Aside from a Brief Appearance after the Lesnar/Goldberg match by Vince, and the Vince/Shane/New Baby Appearance in the intro, the McMahons were absent from involvement of the actual card of WM for the first time since, IIRC, 1998.
Speaking OF Said Lesnar/Goldberg Match...I heard the following chants at some point in the match..."Sell-Out", "Lesnar Sucks", "Goldberg Sucks", "Hogan", "Boring!", " You Sold Out", "This Match Sucks", "We Want Bret", "Na Na Na Na Oh Hey Yeah, Goodbye", "Austin", "We Want Austin", and a few others I can't even remember. Lesnar has a near-breakdown at the start, screaming "What do you people WANT from me?!?". Goldberg and Lesnar stand around for almost two minutes, just to anger the fans. Lesnar actually flips off the fans at the end.
Newsflash Folks, the "Return of Old School Taker" is nothing more than "Dead Man Taker" with the old theme music and Hat. And the intelligent MSG fans realized that too, and once they realized they were getting robbed, were quite vocal about it.
The Trump/Ventura interview was short and bizarre. At least it was short.
Eddie-Angle was a great match, and was the match that got the crowd involved again after the proverbial buzzkill that WAS the Goldberg-Lesnar nightmare. To reinvolve THAT cold of a crowd into the match like they were shows how GOOD this was. Which is weird considering that the matches before sucked, royally. Eddie wins via one of the most inventive methods I've seen in a while (Boot gets the Ankle lock, Eddie Rolls for a Pin)
Then there's the main event. Uh....Wow. I never thought I'd say this, but, I've got to give credit to Triple H. For what may be the first time since around 1997, he lost a match 100% cleanly, without any outside crap, disqualifcations, objects, or otherwise. A Nice, clean submission to the Crossface. I tend to be a bit cynical watching Wrestling nowadays, but even I returned to a state of sheer exhuberance watching Chris try to get HHH to submit. It was odd...They were trying to build up HBK as the Good Guy , and Benoit as the outsider, only for Chris to get nearly ALL the positive reaction from the crowd (I love New York). EVERY time HBK or HHH tried to go for the win, the crowd booed royally. To see HHH and HBK, two of the biggest egos in the business (And HBK's has actually shrank over time) put over someone like Benoit...I'll never forget it. I never will. Talk about bizarre...
I almost expected Bret to show up coming down the aisle at the end, when Beniot was celebrating, but, it didn't happen. Still, a great ending. (Folks, backstory, in their years in the business, Eddie and Chris have been screwed six ways from Sunday...) To see THEM (Eddie and Chris) holding the top 2 titles at the end of the biggest show of the year, at wrestling's ultimate stage...

excellent points Seth. The Brock/Goldberg match was probably the worst match on the show....yet had the most heat.

I was so glad Evolution beat Rock "N" Sock, I am also glad "Old School" Undertaker is back and beat Kane I just wish "Old School" Kane would come back. Good points, Seth- that would be so cool if Brett Hart came out at the end. I thought it was a pretty good WM but I was wishing we'd get a better match out of the Lesnar/Goldberg. I was mad that Chris won the triple threat match. I wanted HHH to keep the title or even HBK would have been fine. I use to like Chris but now he just annoys the hel* out of me now.

The Brock/Goldberg match was terrible. Fans were chanting You Sold Out,Boring,We Want Hogan. Guerrero/Angle match was great. I loved the way Eddie set up Angle. Triple threat match was great. I thought Triple H was going to win the title and lose to Benoit in his hometown of Edmonton at Backlash. Did Paul Bearer put back that weight on or what? The last time I had seem him he was slimmed down when he was managing Kane in early 2000. It looks like there might be a match between Foley and Orton at Backlash considering he lost the match. It was great to see the hall of famers appear on stage. The only one that got booed was Pete Rose. I can imagine the response if Wrestlemania was in Boston. It was sad when they showed the Hall of Fame ceremony highlights when Bobby said that he wished Gorilla Monsoon was here. Him and Gorilla had a great relationship during the 80's on Wrestling Challenge and PrimeTime Wrestling. Wonder what will happen tonight on Raw.
