I realize that TC was based on the British sitcom Man About The House and all, but when I look at the episode guide for Man About The House, many have the same plots that TC used. Looks like the TC writers did not have to work very hard!!!

Yeah I just checked out the episodes . The names are so funny ( Jo , Robin ? :lol: ) Yeah , alot of the plots are the same . Did you see in the last season it said that Robins ( Jacks ) brother visits and Chrissy starts to like him . Then , the last two episodes are about Chrissy and Norman ( Lee Tripper ) getting married ! Can you imagine if that happened in Threes Company ? Also , Jo ( Janet ) isnt really included in that many episodes . I wonder why ..

I don't know why either, but I'd just like to clarify that the Jo character in the British version is actually like Chrissy in the American version. Meanwhile, Chrissy in the British version is like Janet from the American version.

Man About the House is good UK television, and this guide uses UK words. For American English speakers, here are the translations:
flat--apartment
flatmate--roommate
football--soccer
pub--bar
Man About the House to Three's Company:
Robin Tripp-Jack Tripper
Chrissy Plummer- Janet Wood
Jo- Chrissy Snow
George Roper- Stanley Roper
Mildred Roper- Helen Roper
Larry Simmonds- Larry Dallas
(Cindy, Terri, Furley, and Lana did not have original UK versions, as they were added in America only.)
