Hello everyone,

I just undertook the task of recording all the episodes of Mama's Family off TBS. And TBS did show all of Season 1. I was excited to get all the episodes on tape. However I realized that when showing Season 2 this time 'round TBS will not be showing
The Return of Leonard Oates, Country Club and Gert Rides Again. I then looked into it, and realized it's almost impossible to find Gert Rides Again. So rather than drive myself crazy, I decided to make a post, asking if anyone would be willing to sell copies of all 130 episodes? It should take 11 tapes in SLP mode, which is fine for me. Also if you had either the reunion on Vicki's talk show or the Eunice CBS special, that would be awesome. I'm not rich, but I do realize it's a big project, so I'm wondering if anyone is a) Willing to take on the task, b) can be trusted and c) will give me a good price. I hate to tell you this, but they showed "The Return of Leonard Oates" and "Country Club" on Friday, March 12. They no longer show Gert Rides Again at all. I know because I am also working on my collection.

Payphone, good news for you TBS will air the episode "Mama Learns To Drive" on Friday, March 17 at 6:00 AM. Make sure to set your VCR or Tivo :-)

FamilyTiesGOP...that was a mistake on my part, I had taped the show on Friday morning, and didn't watch it till last night. I didn't even know I had those two episodes. Luckily, now I do :-)

I'm glad. I know how maddening it can be to be recording for a collection and miss an episode that you know you could have gotten!

I have 13 from season 4, 22 from season 5, 17 from season 6, 12 from season 1 and 6 from season 2. But I don't think I'll be missing any more of season 2 (except of course that ep they don't air) now that we have this TIVO-type thing.

Anyway, we just got a TV card and a dvd burner, so I am in the process of making my own custom Mama's Family DVDs, which many might think is sad and pathetic, but it makes me happy and it takes stress off from school.

That isn't sad and pathetic (unless my whole life is!). It sounds like a lot of fun to have Mama's Family DVDs.
