Hi,
Anyone remember this version?
Now before you tell me it was no good, etc.,
I want to say I liked it.
True, nothing can compare to RB's Perry.
But I thought it was tastefully done. Unfortunately it was only on for 6 episodes, I believe and being on Sunday night it was sometime preempted by football. If a show didn't grab an audiance quickly, it was dead and gone. it didn't and it was.

Do you mean the ones with William R Moses still in them as Ken, but a different older lawyer? They were okay. Supposedly Raymond Burr wanted the show to continue with Ken as the star, which could have worked. I don't know that it was such a good idea to bring in an older bloke to try to fill Perry's shoes though. I did like the fact that Perry was always just in the next office, though!

No, I was speaking of the short run in 1973.....
"Perry Mason was revived in 1973 with an all-new cast (by then, Raymond Burr was playing wheelchair-bound, Ironside). A new regular was his receptionist, Gertie (a character who had been seen on very rare occasion in the original Perry Mason series). However, The New Perry Mason could not recapture the magic of the old and soon left the air."
Complete credited cast:
Monte Markham .... Perry Mason
Sharon Acker .... Della Street
Albert Stratton .... Paul Drake
Brett Somers .... Gertrude Lade
Dane Clark .... Lt. Arthur Tragg
Harry Guardino .... Hamilton Burger
I thought it was pretty good.

I have two episodes of The New Adventures of Perry Mason, that ran for only one season from 1973-1974; actually I really enjoyed this version, though Perry Mason without Raymond Burr is just not the same...
